This is hands down the best Persian food I have ever had. After numerous times eating here, I couldn’t help but write a review. I live an hour away and it is worth the drive to eat here everytime. The food is always fresh, warm, and the flavor is incredible. I mainly get the Lamb & Beef SH. Plate and it absolutely DELIVERS. Their kabob plates are also incredible with amazing flavor. Everything here is house made, and the veggies and other ingredients always taste fresh. I finished my meal today with a fresh out the oven house made Kooloocheh and it was so good I had to get 6 more of them. I always wash it all down with their flavorful hot tea. The service here is also so amazing, everybody is always super warm and friendly and treat you like family. The ambiance is great, it is a very clean and relaxing dining area, great place to bring friends and family and enjoy a meal or just play cards and sip hot tea. After you’re done eating you can shop in their market for authentic Persian goods and anything middle-eastern/Mediterranean/Indian & Persian groceries. This market also has all of their house made pastry’s and other Persian treats/delights. This is one of my favorite restaurants if not my favorite restaurant.

Really delicious Persian and Afghan food (similar to Mediterranean food)! Family owned; the owner's son Ben is really friendly. They also have a grocery store connected to the restaurant, with Middle Eastern and Indian food that you can't find in normal grocery stores. They cater as well if you want to serve a large party or work event!

Sahara Halal Store is know for fairly variety of halal products, including meat, poultry, groceries, and frozen foods but the quality of meat is not that great.
Last week We got goat meat and It was below average plus overly priced.
It can be a convenient option for those seeking halal products in San Ramon but if you are specifically looking for good goat meat then you need to shop around other halal stores and compare quality plus the prices at other grocery stores.

Sahara Market is overpriced, with items consistently sold well above their original prices. Products I typically buy for $10 are sold here for $14, which is unreasonable and unjustified. I hope an alternative market opens in our area soon, as this would provide better options for fair pricing.

They are literally stealing your money!!! I bought 3 green onions and 2 red radishes, among other things. Green Onions were tagged for $1.29 each and the radishes for $2.49 or $2.99. When the casher was coding in the produce, I saw sweet basil for $3.99 each!! I asked the casher that I did not take basil. He said this is for the onions, but we don't have a code for it, and it is the same price. I told him it was $1.29, and in a second, he updated the price. After I left, I reviewed the receipt just to find that he put in the raddishes for $3.49!! BE CAREFUL AND DOUBLE CHECK PRICES ESPECIALLY FOR PRODUCE. Don't let them steal your money. I am never going there again!!!

In two years, the quality and freshness is dwindling. Pita is not fresh, shawarma has flavor but dry, highly disappointed in my meal today

Today I bought cuts halal chicken packed in a bags . Found it to be smelling so bad at home. And I had chicken koobideh wrapped the meat is rotten made me feel nauseous. I called the store I told the lady about the food and she replied back to me. She said what do I do for you? I said nothing just please don’t serve it to anyone else Please. It is unprofessional to tell the customer. What do I do for you? At least you can say sorry if you don’t wanna make it up for them I don’t recommend anyone go there.

They are selling spoiled chicken. We bought chicken 2 times in the last month, total 6 chickens and everything was spoiled. Unfortunately we didn't check it immediately. We had to throw away everything. Be aware of this place.
