Everything was fine but I asked for 3 fresh chickens and that i didn't mind waiting for them to kill three fresh chickens and the lady said, "they're preparing them right now" thenshe walked over to a trash basket of chickens sitting in water and got my chickens, one has blood soaked skin. Maybe they have so much business they don't have time for a drop of personal attention to orders. Now I need to figure out how to get this blood off the skin without infection and i don't know how long they were in the waste baskets or what bacteria has been festering in there. $46 feels like i want to throw these away! Very hard to find a decent live poultry place in California.

I asked them for 黄毛鸡. they charged me for it but they did not give me the right chicken. I told the lady it wasnt yellow but she ignored me. I bought it this time because I was in a hurry and had to make congee for a sick friend, but I dont intend on coming back. this is dishonest business.

Recently I went and saw how horribly they treated an old lady trying to sell potatoes. One of the workers picked up the lady's potato box and threw it across the street. She then left laughing at her actions. I will never go back to this place again!

Freshest poultry in the area.

Can't miss this place - it's the place with the huge cock, I meant, rooster on it's roof. Be warned, if you can't stand the smell or sight of animals, this might not be the place for you. You might want to mosey into a butcher or Vons for your chicken breasts.

Also, during weekends and holidays (asian ones, of course and maybe thanksgiving and xmas) they're hellva busy - so plan accordingly. Also, probably closed on all major holidays. No parking lot for the public - street parking, or the lot next door is $3 all day.

I just remember as a kid, this place STANK, but with sanitary conditions and health boards, this place is pretty clean and no longer smells like chicken poop. 🙂

Dishonest service. I ordered 2 brown hen but the lady gave me the wrong chicken (old hen for what i thinked is only $6 or$7 each) but charged me $12 each which is the price of the brown hen.
