Such a cool place!! People are so awesome and friendly! Came while visiting family. Love it! Good food and fun atmosphere. Have live bands play as well. If in the area around dinner time, swing by!

The Renegade Winery has friendly staff, very laid back vibe, and made the perfect scenic lunch stop.
Located off the main road halfway between Lake Tahoe and Yosemite, this entire town takes you to the old west. Apparently Mokelumne Hill was a central gold mining town, so when you see it remember this is the real thing, not a Hollywood studio set.

My first time to write a review for this fine place. The food is top notch, the service is AWESOME and they have live music almost all three days they are open. Their wines are so good and the owner/wine maker makes pretty much the best port and other various kinds of wine. Small town with big taste, portions and service.

Just moved back to where I grew up. Out in Calaveras County today seeing what’s new and good. This is pretty new and good to me. The food is good, the music guy is cool, and the server makes me think that after her shift she’s headed down to the river for some fun in the sun. ?‍♂️ Good times, good wine.

Great patio area. The food very good. Servers friendly and awesome. Great area to dance and enjoy yourself. I enjoyed they had misters on fans but after a but I was soaking wet and nit comfortable.

If, somehow, you ever find yourself in Mokelumne Hill (or Moke Hill as the locals call it) this is THE place to visit on the weekends. The wine is fantastic, the atmosphere is true to the local vibe; and the owners Sue and Mark are welcoming, and knowledgeable. In the summer you might find live music, food trucks, beer, and of course such good wine. Must visit if you are in the area and it's open 🙂
