I love this wine produced from Aloria winery at their own vineyard overlooking New Melones Reservoir in Calaveras County. Come and meet Dave at the tasting room located across the street from the historic Murphy’s hotel. They have great tasting wines and many different varietals. They have a second label called ‘Above The Rush’ located in Vallecito. At Above The Rush, (the rushed life in the valley and Bay Area) they pair the wine with bites of delicious cheeses and herbs. Say hello to Veronica and Ryan while you enjoy your visit to our beautiful area.

We popped in without a reservation on a Monday morning and were welcomed in with big smile. Our hostess made our tasting on of the best on our trip to California. Luckily for us we were the only ones in the shop. We had her undivided attention. Their wines were great and for the money this tasting was well worth it. We shipped a case home to Florida and took one bottle and one of their big wines glasses with us.

My husband and I had the best time at this tasting room. It was very slow because it was a Tuesday which was actually kind of nice because we got to ask extra questions and get extra information about the wine, and also get to know more locals working in the tasting rooms. We really enjoyed their wines, especially the whites, they are perfect for sunny weather. We will be going back to this tasting room again very soon!!

This tasting room in Murphys was a favorite for us to stop by in the past years.
Wine is really good always nice staff.
However, due to the price increase of $18 tasting per person and an average cost of a bottle of wine @$29 ? as locals and travelers. We will be visiting less expensive places in the future.

We did the private tour, paring and tasting at their beautiful vineyards with Rob. Great views and very informative. Saw the wine making process as well and crushed grapes too. Awesome.

Feeling at home! That’s how we feel every time we are going to Aloria to taste wine in the charming town of Murphy. Not only are their wines fantastic, you will enjoy a relaxed environment with an absolutely loving staff who will make you feel special. There’s no rush, just sit back and enjoy their fantastic lineup of whites, reds and bubblies. Not to forget the vinegars and olive oils they have available in their tasting room. We fell in love with Aloria and are now proud club members sharing their journey and love for wines!

Aloria has some great wines and a really nice atmosphere. We came home with two of their bottles, the sauvignon blanc and the syrah. Their sauvignon blanc was one of the best we have ever had and were really impressed. I would definitely recommend visiting and we will be returning for sure.
