I've been meaning to write a review on this Resort for SO long. This was such a nice experience, Sonoma in general is very relaxed and I feel like most of the people embody that same quality. Most of the staff was very helpful, I wish I remembered names, but there was a younger gentleman driving the shuttle that was so genuinely kind and helpful. There is on site parking, but the shuttle service to town is a huge bonus, ask for a map at the front and make sure to save the shuttle number. Make sure to visit the breakfast place in town, though--delightful vibes. You can also arrange a local wine tasting, which is definitely a nice way to start or end the trip--it can get overwhelming with so many wineries all over. The one thing I will say is finding a time to catch the woman who was arranging tours / trips / wine tastings proved to be a bit difficult. And while she was definitely helpful, our conversation seemed to be a bit scattered especially because people kept coming up to talk and interrupt. I did really enjoy the daily wine tastings, though--they're great to try before dinner. I also really enjoyed the on-site yoga studio and the restaurant--it was very good, had knowledgeable staff and seemed to be frequented even by people outside of the hotel. I used to work in hotels and this hotel was very clean, the rooms were nice and the patio outside the rooms are a nice treat. I visited the spa while I was there as well and received an amazing massage ! Would recommend. Traveling solo can be a little intimidating, but I really enjoyed my stay--I didn't feel as comfortable in my room with the location of it(some of the patios don't have as much privacy) and a gentleman (I believe a manager) personally walked me to different rooms that he thought I would feel more comfortable in. I also did encounter an issue during my stay, but the staff was helpful and quick to rectify the situation and I feel like that's a very important part of hospitality that sometimes can be missed. This is definitely a place that I will be coming back to !

*Spa review only|We paid $500 for two massages. And the massages were wonderful. We felt so happy and relaxed. Then one minute before the lounge closed a lady appeared and announced “this area is closed” and turned on the bright lights. We followed her downstairs to pay (and tip). No smile, no greeting, not even a thank you. This lady does not belong in the Hospitality industry. Zero personality zero customer service skills. We won’t return.

The staff at this hotel were incredibly nice and accommodating, which was a standout part of my stay. Their customer service is exceptional—something many high-end hotels often lack.

However, for a hotel rated as four stars, it falls short in other areas. The rooms and overall facilities could use some updates, and as it stands, the price doesn’t match the quality. It feels overpriced for what’s currently offered.

That said, if they make the necessary improvements, this hotel has the potential to live up to its rating. For now, you're paying more for the service than the actual experience.

We arrived here as a large group to attend a family wedding in a Winery nearby. Between the ten of us, we booked five rooms. Two couples got their room in the main building, the other two got theirs in the building across from the parking lot, and we had our larger cottage in the back part, behind the swimming pool. ||We did not see the other people’s rooms, but our room was fairly large with a King Bed, a cozy sitting area, a fireplace, a little open balcony outside and a huge spacious Bathroom that contained some really nice, spa-quality amenities, plus soft bath robes in the closet. We were on the second floor, and it was quiet and peaceful there.||Our statuses gave us food credits at Benicia’s Kitchen for all the rooms, but given our busy schedule, we were only able to use those for Breakfast on the first morning. We left before they opened on the other days. We had dinner on our first night at Wit and Wisdom which was very nice.||We received exemplary service from all the staff members. The Bellman was especially helpful to us holding the door open while we were lugging items for the wedding, brought us a cart as we were unloading, and greeted us pleasantly every time we crossed paths. The Vintage VW painted Van outside was lovely.||The Grounds were immaculately maintained. Along the walking path, we saw roses and other flowers, pretty wisteria, berry bushes and tons of flowers outside. So pretty…||We loved our three-day stay here, and will definitely return on our next visit to Sonoma.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Doris for our catering needs at the Lodge at Sonoma Resort, Autograph Collection. Doris was incredibly attentive and friendly throughout the entire event. Her warm demeanor and keen attention to detail ensured that everything ran smoothly. She went above and beyond to make sure all our needs were met, and her positive attitude made the experience truly enjoyable. We highly recommend this hotel for any event needs!

Delightful lodge with the exquisite spa located in the back of the property. Clean and properly maintained facilities. A nice restaurant which is dog friendly and helpful staff. They gave us a voucher to use for breakfast which was fresh and yummy.

The highlight was my deep tissue massage by Lucas who knows his stuff. If you like hard and deep pressured massage, be sure to ask for him. The scrub shower with various salt minerals which is free to use afterwards was a nice relaxing touch.

The only negative comment is that the jacuzzi had only one working jet, was old, and hadn't been cleaned with leaves swimming around. We will definitely consider returning as they are very dog friendly : )

This property is a perfect get away. I went with just my husband but there are plenty of families here enjoying the resort. Its peaceful. ||The property is well maintained and has everything from restaurants, Spa, Pool, daily happy hour, friendly staff. ||We are staying in the cottages which are very comfortable in size with a patio, fireplace & everything you might need for your stay.||Benicia’s kitchen is open and has a decent menu with healthy options. ||It’s just a mile from the Square & a quick drive to wineries in Napa and Sonoma. The hotel has complimentary transit to and from the Square and bikes available to their guests. Its definitely walkable. ||If you are a fan of Marriott properties, I highly recommend. Note: only drawback is the Wit and Wisdom restaurant not open Monday-Wednesday. I’m not sure if that is the case year round.

Transportation was under maintenance. Wine tasting was closed. No pastries available half way through promised breakfast time.

But hey at least there were bikes lol

For the price you pay, no worth it at all. I could’ve stayed at an Airbnb and got the same night experience

I have been to a lot of hotel before. Mostly mid grade ones but a couple of nice ones. This is easily my favorite hotel I have been too. It is very nice, classy, comfortable, and relaxing. This is the hotel that comes to mind as a place I would want to visit to relax. Now.. I don’t think I would spend 500 a night on my own dime with my budget. I could justify 300-350 perhaps though. If you can spend the cash though, this one is worth it.

If six stars were possible they’d have six from me! The grounds, room, and service are spectacular! The natural beauty around the cottages at this boutique hotel is breathtaking. Spring for the fireplace and soaker tub!
And the staff are so attentive and friendly! They’ve made us feel special by celebrating our 10-year anniversary at the Lodge.
