This week I noticed a spelling issue on my daughter's passport and we are due to fly internationally within two business days. I immediately called the passport office and explained the situation. I was given an appointment the following day for the early afternoon. I had a 5 hour drive to get to SF so that time frame worked well. After arriving and getting to the window, I was told that my wife also needed to be present to issue the passport (she was five hours away). I was offered an option for an E-notary, after the second attempt, our paperwork was accepted. By this time we were pushing up to the office closing time. The staff was aware that I had driven several hours and my international flight was quickly approaching, I only had a small time table to get this done. The Processing Manager, John, was definitely on my side and bending over backward to make this happen before the office closed. The State Department manager, Brannon, also got involved to make sure I was afforded every opportunity to get this done on the same day. I really appreciate both of their efforts to allow my daughter and I to walk out of the office with her corrected passport in-hand. I was definitely the last customer to walk out of the office by at least 40 minutes. Thank you for your efforts!

I almost never leave reviews but I was really impressed with the service here! I had a domestic flight home the next day at 9:00pm and needed my passport immediately since I couldn’t get an appointment in my hometown. I got the earliest appointment they offered (7:30am) and was out in 10 minutes!! Keep in mind that the line builds up FAST. I got there at exactly 7:15am and was lucky enough to be around 3rd in line. By the time I was done with everything the line looked like it was 50 people long. Even though my international travel date wasn’t until 5 days later, they gave me my passport same day since I was leaving the city the next day. 10/10 experience!!

Great service! Waited 15 minutes in line and the agent behind the counter was very helpful, offered to cut and staple my application for me. Waited 1 minute for the other window, and the agent was very fast, helped me get a photocopy of my passport because I didn't have any other ID after leaving it with them and instructed me to request an escort with my proof of pickup a I would need when picking up my passport in 2 days.
Seems like same-day is only available if you come early AND you have urgent travel needs. Likely you can request this, but there seems to be a limited number of same-day passports issued.
Overall a pleasant experience renewing my passport!

Wow amazing, super fast and efficient. I was in line like 15 minutes then got checked in, waited another 10 minutes and I was served, 5 minutes procedure and I was done. super happy. As a reference my father in Italy waited a year and a half for an appointment to get his passport. I waited 2 days. Glad I live in America.

Great service. Everything streamlined. Everyone was friendly. Got an appointment for the next working day and got my passport in one day.
Security was typical -- no food, no open drink containers, put your keys, phones, AirPods/earphones in a basket, etc. I got there 30 min early and was happy I did, b/c the line got much longer later. The same goes for passport pickup in the afternoon.
Have your paperwork ready -- they'll make copies if you don't have them, but I had mine just in case.

They no longer provide passport same day unless you are traveling that same day or following morning OR if your home address is more than a hundred miles away.

They googled our address from the passport agency and came up with 87 miles even though the quickest route is 92 miles. Doesn't b matter anyway I guess since 92 isn't 100. So now we have to drive 5+ round trip again on Monday to pick up the passport because they refused to print when we were there Friday at our appointment.

We were allowed to make the appt since our travel is within next 2 weeks. Nowhere on the website did it indicate we’d need to make a return trip to pick up if departure date is more than 24 hours from appt date.

No problems with same day passport printed in 2021 and departure date was also more than 24 hours later. But why should I be surprised? Government and their entitled employees just love wasting your time and tax dollars with an arrogant smirk on their face.
