My family and I came here for First Friday and enjoyed ourselves. There was music, snacks and a beautiful view of the water outside. They take cash and card. There's two parking lots. And no wine tasting on Fridays during First Fridays.

We stayed the night in our rv as harvest host members and we really enjoyed our stay! Great customer service and delicious wines. We did not stop at any of the food trucks, but there are one or two available

Lovely atmosphere and friendly people. It’s one of kind places. They don’t make their own wines but the wines are well made. Mostly from Lodi grapes. The price is low for the quality. Really nice place to chill out and enjoy the sunset over the San Pablo Bay.

After a recent interaction with the Winery, I feel customers need to know about this incident. If it resonates with you, please give the Winery your own feedback.

We've lived here since May, but we are transplants from Arizona, and still hadn't visited the local beach. We weren't going to stay long, just wanted to stick our toes in the sand for a few minutes before returning to adulting. Since it was nearly 100°f, and I'm disabled, I wanted to see if I could enjoy the beach, without having to drag my 500 pound wheelchair along. I can walk a little, but not much, and the platform for carrying my wheelchair is unable to be transported at the moment.

The GPS directed us, the parking lot has signs for disabled parking, and the parking lot was empty, so we proceeded to park.

Until...

Someone from the Winery came out and told us we couldn't park there because there was a special event happening.

It was a completely empty parking lot in the middle of the day, with multiple handicapped parking spots available (read: all), but they insisted we move.

So I asked: If I buy a bottle of wine, and I'm an actual patron, could I park here for just a few minutes?

Nope.

Here's where I kept a straight face because I'm a fifty year old woman who knows better, but while you might see me puttering in my yard, or driving occasionally, I can't walk more than 150 yards without the help of my kids, or my wheelchair. So, we needed the shortest distance from point A to point B, not to be told that we needed to park even an extra block away and then walk back.

With that, my kids and I left, and our first adventure in our new home ended as abruptly as it began, since I had no way to park my car anywhere near adjacent to the entrance of the park.

If you want to argue private property versus public access, fine, but my Nana always said that "Rules were made for when brains run out," and it's apparent here that some don't understand how imperative it is for us disabled folks to have appropriately placed access to public spaces.

While I may not "look disabled," as my oldest said (we usually say it jokingly to each other because we have the same genetic disorder), I do take stock of those who are the Helpers, as Mister Rogers would say, and I advocate for disabled individuals quite frequently.

The Winery really failed a member of its community.

In doing research, and in speaking with the local Sheriff's Department I was reassured that handicapped parking is regulated by the ADA, and told that all parking lots are considered private property, but are still required to allow handicapped individuals to park there during hours of operation.

I hope the Winery really reconsiders their inhospitable atmosphere.
