Mitsuwa is a wonderful international Japanese grocery store where you can find authentic items straight from Japan. While I haven’t had the chance to visit Japan yet, this store is as close as I can get for now.

I came specifically looking for some instant miso soup packets, and even though I accidentally picked the wrong ones, the staff was incredibly helpful in explaining the differences and assisting me with the exchange.

They also have a small produce section, along with a variety of meats like chicken, beef, fish, and more.

I took some time to explore their ready-to-go meals, which include sushi, poke, bento boxes, and so much more.

This was my first visit, and I’m excited to dive into all the new goodies I brought home!

Japan has many wonderful products that aren't normally sold in the USA.

Luckily, many of these interesting, beautiful and delicious things are available at Mitsuwa!

This market is spotless and well-run, with a wide selection of foods and cosmetic items.

Prices are fair and service is good.

My only disappointment was I wanted an egg salad sando and they only had them with ham.

Still, I enjoyed the selection and cleanliness of the store and will return.

Hidden gem in Northridge! Great selection of Japanese grocery items. Their pre-packed food section is amazing! So much to choose from. There's poke bowls, salmon bowls, nigiri sushi combinations. All are so good, fresh and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

Great supermarket! The Northridge location is smaller than the other locations, but it is clean and well-lit, and carries a good assortment of Japanese food products and ingredients. Also enjoying the prepared food section for convenience on busy days. Great for the neighborhood!!

Food: this is a fantastic market, where you can get your Japanese fixings. The vegetables and meat are fresh, and they also sell prepackaged meals, like sushi or curry.

Parking: the market is located in a major shopping plaza so finding a parking spot shouldn’t be an issue. However, some spots are narrow.

Tips: the premade food is nicely packaged and they offer a wide variety of meals. You can also get your instant ramen noodles in the noodle isle.

It's a scaled down version of their regular sized Japanese Market. Yet it has all the essentials. Including a small selection of fresh produce, refrigerated section, fresh meat, frozen section, dry & packaged foods, and more. They also have ready to eat foods, including rice balls (Onigiri).

The prices on most items are more expensive than you might find elsewhere. But, that's to be expected in a smaller store. However, there are some good deals to be found. The prices for Japanese pickles (tsukemono) were very reasonable. And, a Japanese favorite, frozen Gyoza was selling at a fantastic price. If you shop around there are quite a few good deals to be found.

The ready to eat foods look delicious. And, so do the rice balls, which I've had. They're a great snack to have on the go.

My friends and I stopped by this Asian market because he wanted some Japanese mayo. I never knew that there was an Asian market in this plaza so I was interested to see what they have inside. They have some nice cookies and chocolate selection that will be great for holiday gifts. They also have some meat, ramen, candy and much more. They had boba ice cream here and also fresh soft serve ice cream. The store is not that big but they have a lot of stuff. They even have hot food and ready to go sushi for you as well. There are check out station or you can go to the typical cashier line.

This location is a bit underwhelming. The shelves are hardly ever fully stocked and that was something that we saw even before all the recent tariffs; it's been that way since they first opened. They do have unique grocery items, hot food bar is quite nice but overall a little lackluster and expensive.
