Its great place if you have a group of people. Price wise, it was not bad. Beef wrap, dumpling, orange chicken, fried rice were all good. Egg plant was okay but i hope that they make it more crispy.

Yikes, something was off with every dish we ordered. See photos below. The beef puff was hard and crusty. The taro cake was burnt and tasted like socks. Congee rice pieces were too big and watery, the century egg tasted 2 centuries old. The soup dumpling skins were swollen with moisture. An ad for Potato construction lol. Even the fortune cookie messages gave off the vibe that they didn't even try. The design and decor of the space was nice but everything else was a huge miss.

The location is right next to a supermarket and Meet Fresh. First time at this location, service was quick and friendly. We were too hungry so we only ordered two dishes, spicy wontons and beef chow fun. Everything came out quick and it was tasty. Perfect place to stop by returning from a road trip.

We came here at Friday night to had dinner. This place is located nearby a supermarket and also has meet fresh inside the store. This is kind of like Cantonese Style restaurant and their menus has a lot of different options. We tried beef wrap, spicy wontons, Juicy pork dumplings, and walnut shrimp. They also have dim sum as well. All of them are very tasty and delicious. I will highly recommend this for anyone who loves the Cantonese food.

I was lost trying to find this place at night because I drove past the sign that says Mama Lu's and didn't see an actual restaurant from the outside of the building. It's tucked inside next to another store and easy to miss. Just look for CVS and you'll see the sign along with Meet fresh.

There's plenty of parking in this strip mall. The restaurant itself is quite large and you can dine with a big group. The service is impeccable and very attentive. I have been to other locations and always get their juicy pork dumplings, Szechuan style shrimp and walnut shrimp. They were having a special on their deep-fried Cornish hen which the server strongly recommended. It was crispy and juicy! Overall a great meal as always and my go to for comfort food! Great addition to Tustin!

Super disappointed at the dim sum. Got the xiaolongbao but unfortunately there was basically no broth inside. Even packaged soup dumpling from trader Joe was juicer and cheaper (I think is was $13 for 10) . Service was also slow. I don't blame the server as there was 1 server for around 40 people. Recommend seven gram which is nearby

Where to begin.. let me just start off by saying that the food, quality, price, service, atmosphere, and taste were all 5/5.

For food we got the spicy pork wontons, egg rolls, juicy pork soup dumplings, peking pork chop, egg drop soup, pork pan-fried dumplings, garlic string beans, and pork chop with spicy salt.

I give every item a 5/5 and comparing it to Din Tai Fung, even more. The portion sizes are double, prices are affordable, and the food is actually fresh and really good. I plan to come back and try other items that I didn't get, such as the cornish hen and shanghai rice cakes.

The service was impeccable. The server made sure our drinks were always refilled, we got plenty of napkins, and answered all of our questions with enthusiasm. He made some great recommendations such as the pork chop with spicy salt and the egg drop soup which were my top 3!!

Overall this place was truly lovely, and my return is guaranteed.

Mama Lu Dumpling House is an absolute gem for dumpling lovers! The handmade dumplings are always fresh and bursting with flavor, especially the juicy pork and chive and xiao long bao that arrive perfectly steamed and full of delicious broth. The scallion pancakes are crispy and not too greasy, while the noodle dishes bring authentic, comforting flavors that make you feel like you're in the heart of Shanghai. The ambiance is no-frills, but it only adds to the charm, and the staff is attentive and efficient even during busy hours. If you’re craving authentic Chinese dumplings and noodles, Mama Lu is a must-visit!
