Up in the hills this place is a drive tru. Ordered over the phone. Ready in about 20 to 30 mins. Their specialty pizzas are so good my favorite is the pacific island and the chipoltle chicken. All pizzas are amazing!!

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I just had to say something about my experience at Ray’s Pizza. I have been coming here for years, and I have never encountered such rude and unprofessional behavior from an employee. This young man, Anthony, was simply awful no manners, no care for customers, and quite frankly, just plain strange. When I walked in, he barely acknowledged me, just stood there looking annoyed like I was inconveniencing him by ordering. He was fidgeting the whole time, mumbling under his breath, and making these odd expressions that made me uncomfortable. I don’t know if he was having a bad day or what, but it was not acceptable behavior for someone working in customer service. I have always loved this place, but if this is the kind of staff they’re hiring now, I’m not sure I’ll be back. Such a shame.

Without question, the best take-and-bake pizza you can get anywhere in Amador County and the surrounding areas. The folks that run the place are usually very friendly as well, but if you call too late, they seem a little grumpy about it sometimes.

We stayed in Pioneer for 4 nights and got Rays twice! 1st time 2 pizzas - delicious & packed with toppings. The 2nd time we got the cheesy, garlic bread and churro donuts (and both were a huge hit). The churro donuts come frozen and are 4 in each order. They were SO good.

The ingredients are fresh and they’re a fair price, but I’m not a huge fan. They have really thick dough and a ton of cheese, it’s really heavy.
