The co-op is a magical place, and I can’t imagine our son going to a different preschool after seeing all of the things that make the co-op special. We toured numerous schools before choosing the co-op, and it was absolutely the right decision for our family. My son loves school, and he gets to truly play while learning so many valuable skills. Many schools out there say they are play-based, but the co-op truly is. The children have complete choice over what activities they do and can be inside or outside the whole time as well. The teachers are incredibly nurturing and are amazing partners with the parents in the classroom. While the parental commitment can seem intimidating, it is so rewarding to be able to see my child in action in the classroom and to get to form friendships with the other parents. We feel truly lucky to be part of this community!

Absolutely love the co-op for my daughter. I signed her up to expose her to more social situations just after she turned two and she's been blossoming under the care of the co-op. I love the opportunity for the parents to be more involved as well - I've learned a great deal about play-based schools and early childhood development since joining. The co-op has helped me better understand and manage her behavior at home - which range from bubbly happy giggles to angry tear-filled tantrums. I truly believe my daughter is becoming a better person because of the co-op, and highly recommend anyone to join who is looking for the same for their children!

By far one of the best preschools in bay area. Im very picky about my daughters preschool so i toured more than 30 five star ones from Burlingame to mountain view. I was so lucky i found this one. Teachers are AMAZING. Kristy is very knowledgeable and you learn so much about parenting and kids development and mental health. Indoor and outdoor area are perfectly designed, super bright, natural light. Fresh air, like new condition materials and construction. Everything has been designed purposefully. Other families, kids and staff are very friendly, supportive and i felt home there. They are all there to help and support your family. My daughter connected so fast and likes them all. They are all very professional and most importantly caring and nurturing. We will miss everything about this amazing preschool. Thanks Kristy, thanks Katie❤️

We attended a few years ago and it was awful. Likely that was because it was run by this terrible old battle axe - I think her name was Christie. Many of the other parents were weird too. Go to morning birds instead.

This is my fifth year at Menlo-Atherton Cooperative Nursery School. It is a wonderful play-based pre-school with lots of indoors and outdoor activities. The kids are self directed in what they want to do. Studies have shown kids learn best in play and this school fully support that. Kids are encouraged to problem solved themselves or with some adults guidance if needed. The teachers are warm and experienced. It is also a parent participation program, so I get to know my kids outside of home setting and learn some valuable skills. Also I have met many amazing families through the school and everyone is supportive of each other. I feel that the school not only gave my kids crucial opportunities to grow and learn basic social skills in order to succeed in their futures, but it also provides a strong community that our family can reply on.

A great place for kids to socialize and learn in case if the mother is not working. Parents are involved in classes and other activities. A lot of creative activities. Wonderful playground in Nealon park. Affordable tuition.
