I purchased scones, jam and clotted cream for a baby shower tea. I was a bit hesitant when I found out that the scones would be frozen when I picked them up, but they were wonderful! They tasted like they were just taken out of the oven. We defrosted them in the bags the night before and they were a hit. I’ve had scones many times in Great Britain and Ackroyds scones were equal to, if not better than many of those. I picked up my order at their store and the service was great and I imagine they take the same care with their mail orders. I will be ordering other products from them in the future!

These people take great pride in the food they create. Authentic Scottish cuisine! Butter Tart! Haggis Black pudding! Where else can you get this fare?! Definitely trying them out! But remember it's not a storefront anymore. Best bet is order ahead for curbside pickup or use online mail service! YUM!

My wife moved here from Scotland and just became an American citizen. We love to order from Ackroyd’s as much as we can, especially when she is feeling homesick. They have the best black pudding, square slice, and macaroni pies hands down, but we love all the sweets and savouries. Plus, it is really nice to have the ability to purchase British grocery staples for our pantry or special occasions. Shipping is fast and free for large enough orders, which we appreciate. Thank you Ackroyd’s for your commitment to bringing my wife a quality taste of home:)

I ordered haggis and neaps and tatties for my friends to give them a taste of Scotland. The haggis was excellent, on par with most I had in Edinburgh. On top of it all, the owner saw my address was close by and dropped the food off for free. Excellent service, excellent food.

Great selection of Scottish goodies! Love to get the Cadbury chocolates at Christmas. My favorite is their sausage roll. Pick up only, no retail any longer, but their online site is easy to work with.

I went online and placed my order, giving the date and time I plan to pick it up. I called the phone number when I arrived and my order was brought right out to me . When we got home and heated them, the meat pies were amazing. Dreams do come true! I've always wanted double or triple meat. They finally made them the way I like them. In years past, I know the meat was getting thinner and thinner. Now they are perfect and so delicious. Everyone should enjoy, these freeze well and you can always pull one out for your lunch or have people over and put them all out.
This was a review I left 6 years ago. Always a perfect place to buy lunch or dinner. Meat pies are great in the microwave for one minute if at work. Oven is best for a crunchy crust. We love them so much we can not wait. The deserts are addictive​ and remarkable. This place is worth the drive from anywhere! They ship too.

So note this is NOT a store. This place does curbisde takeout, you can browse the store online and order, otherwise the man let me come in brose the catalog and order. The only Scottish store in the whole of Michigan where you can get Haggis. The sign is really small.
