We went to House of Pastry requesting a custom cake, clearly showing them an inspiration picture and asking if they could replicate it exactly. They confidently said yes, but when we picked up the cake, it was a completely different color. Instead of admitting the mistake, they tried to gaslight us into believing it was the same color.

I showed them the original picture on my phone, and they claimed the difference was due to my "dark screen." I then showed them the same picture on a brighter screen, and they still insisted it was identical. For clarity: the inspiration photo had a toned-down color, while the cake they made was a bright pastel orange. The color would have been fine if that's what I had asked for, but it was not.

Aside from the wrong color, the design itself looked half-finished. They didn’t even add the bows that were clearly part of the design. The only thing they got right was the shape of the cake.

If you cannot replicate a design someone shows you, you should not promise that you can. Misleading customers and denying mistakes is unacceptable. This was a disappointing experience, and I would not recommend trusting them for custom designs.

This is the best Cake shop I know in whole LA city which makes Vegan and lacto vegetarian cakes. I ordering cake from him since 2021 and always they raised the bars in providing exceptional service and taste.
They can customize your cake and you don’t need to express much ,they can feel what you want from cake just by talking.

I had asked my sister to order a cake from this bakery for my daughter's first birthday after seeing their instagram page. On the day of pickup, my sister sent me a photo of it and I was soooo surprised of how ugly and sloppy it looked!!! I was very disappointed. It was far from the inspiration photo we sent that had all fondant details which I wanted, what we got had edible images and caramelized strawberries. Evidently, it looked like the one who made it just got lazy.. I would never order from them again!

House of Pastry saved the New Year! Thank you soo much for being open on New Year’s Day! I remember my mom would always shop from here .I walked in and was greeted very kindly and friendly .Already a few locals were in to pick up their celebration cakes, I needed just a few Eclairs and sure enough they had it ! Along with fruit tart cake, chocolate, mousse, cups and much more ! Here is a picture of what I got very fresh. Very delicious, also received a free New Year’s calendar . Thank you soo much ,will be back again!

Called in to see if they could assist with a custom cake. Submitted a request online, was told they dont even receive these requests so unsure why they even have that on their website.

Person i spoke with said there was nothing he could do as he was busy with other orders. My request was for same day which i understand is not realistic, but no attempt was made to find a resolution to have my business.

Requested to send information over and the person on the phone got mad at me cause i couldnt understand him when collecting the number. Said “OMG dude your getting the number wrong”. The reception was bad and the person had a thick accent which made it difficult to hear. Texted him the information and never heard back.

Incredibly rude and would never recommend based on customer service alone. 1/10

We needed a cake for our wedding. We found this bakery and gave it a chance because the date of the wedding was really close, like 1 week before. And we really loved it!! It was so delicious! 🥰🥰🥰
Then we order one for my 2 yrs old daughter’s birthday, This time it was a girls Dinosaurs Cake and it was super cute and it tasted delicious too! Everyone loved it too!
