Very unsuspecting location for a wholesale bakery. There's bread everywhere when you walk in and the smell is ahhmazing. The woman that helped me was very friendly and helpful. I love the pate chaud and they're my go-to when bringing food for a pot luck. The price had increased since the last time I visited 7 months ago. Chicken is $1.85 each and pork is $1.75 each.

Tip: Le Croissant isn't a typical bakery or restaurant. It's located in an industrial area and specializes in wholesale orders. Luckily, regular customers like you and I can place orders for their amazing Pate Chaud, or hot pastry pie. It's filled with either chicken or pork and wrapped in a buttery soft crust. At $0.80/each, feel free to splurge and try both types. Cash only.

The most horrible croissants, I have ever tasted, Costco, Safeway... are very bad but that bakery is even worst. First, do not call that French croissants even if they is an Eiffel Tower on the plastic bag.
A French croissant is crunchy from the outside and soft from inside, with a great butter taste. The ones from that bakery are totally soft, taste basically nothing. I am French!! So I know what I am talking about!

Still just as good today as it was years ago. I love the pate chaud it Le Croissant! It’s a hidden gem of San Jose. They’re not really a store but more so a distributor. I’m not sure where they distribute the bitterly flaky goodness to, but I’m glad I was able to find the source nonetheless. You must order a day in advance since they produce just enough to distribute to their clients each day. In a pinch, you may be lucky and can pick up an order that was not picked up by another guest but best to order the day before. Keep in mind their business hours are 5am-10am so you’ll have to order early and pick up early. When I first order these several years ago, they were $0.80 a pop, currently they’re $1.20 at the time of this posting but still worth every delectable bite on a Saturday morning with a hot cup of coffee.

The location isn’t obvious and looks like a warehouse so if that’s where your gps leads you to, you’re in the right spot. It’s also cash only so don’t forget to bring the greens.
