Great selection! If they don't have it they'll work to get it! Get feed for the poultry, horse, goats, etc here. Also almost always have chicks and not just super common breeds but unique ones also

I love this place for all my chicken needs. No frills, just great staff that are super friendly and knowledgeable. If you want some frills, their Escondido location is also fabulous. I took my chick raising class through them. I have a happy, healthy flock which I also purchased my chicks from them.

Great store! Paige is so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. She really helps out the chicken owner community as well. The rooster round-up event was great. It helps people like me reduce the amount of unwanted roosters we end up with to be humanely culled for food. Can’t keep them all unfortunately. Getting Kalmbach was a nice touch also. Good selection of items. Highly recommend this store!

Glad to see they finally opened again as a feed store. Great location, really nice place with pleasant and friendly employees. Good price on feed also they have a great variety of chicks if you're looking for new chickens.

If you buy chickens from Hawthorne Country Store understand they will tell you that you can return roosters. You don't get a refund but they will re-sell or re-home. But when you try to return roosters they never have room. Then they'll tell you about their Rooster Round Up which is dropping off your rooster to be killed. Im really disappointed in their bait & switch & kill policy. I'll never buy anything from them again

Great store, lots of good product, and some really neat "accessories." Try the jams! SOO good. Even some free horse treats on the counter the other day, and I was on t he way to see my horse, so well timed!
