Wow, I wish I would’ve found this place sooner. I stumbled to this place when I was shopping at target. I ordered a few different pasta dishes, and the spaghetti with sausage and meatball. I also tried the special cold sandwich and this had to be the best sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. I’m not really a cold sandwich person, but the cashier talked me into trying their best seller. Amazing 10 out of 10. Highly recommended.

Usually order the spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread. Sometimes an Italian sub. Everyday there is a new special and you can dine in or take out. They have a full blown deli as well as a lot of authentic Italian products you can buy. The owner and staff are very nice and personable. I like supporting small family businesses. The original location in long beach has been there 75 years.

One of the best pastrami sandwich I've had in awhile. Lots and lots of meat. So much, it was falling out of the sandwich. I had to take a fork to it. Large pastrami with Swiss cheese, extra mustard, jalapenos and pickles. $20.

ONE OF THR MOST DISAPPOINTING SANDWICHES IVE EVER DHAD. I FERL CHEATED. Not sure why this is so highly rated. Asked if the cold sandwich special or the meatball sandwich was recommended. It was the meatball &!8 went with it. Huge mistake. More breadcrumbs than meat, lacking flavour, very little sauce so super dry & the added on cheese was nearly nonexistent. It was barely even warm. If there had been enough sauce on there to taste let alone drop off or have to be licked up I could tell you if I even that was anything special, but not even enough to cut through the breadcrumbs & bread. Why ask me if I would like to add cheese if you're not going to have it melting off, but rather one tiny corner bite of it? I hate chain food, but I could guess that Subway is better than this. I'm from Chicago. I grew up with amazing Sicilian food. My uncle & his 16 siblings made it all by scratch. Even my NY Italian guy back in Newport Beach makes a meatball to crave not a breadcrumb ball. Also, extreme lack of service. Young man to take my order annoyingly distracting & irritating anxiety provoking Brot rapidly tapping his fingers rather than asking or taking to me about their extensive menu & then just walked away! I had to catch a girl to take my order. There was no atmosphere. No one checked on me, asked me anything or even spoke to me. So much for the friendly family owned business. It was extremely depressing. There are numerous restaurants there Mediterranean, Sushi, Ramen, etc..even a wrap from the excellent Starbucks next door would've been much more satisfying. Don't waste your money or time here when there are so many better options. I know you Californians don't have about Italian food, but this is not it. Gastric Distress from Gluten filled breadcrumb sandwich. .

We absolutely loved Sante Fe Importers! We got the Special cold sandwich and the Meatball hot sub. The Special had all the traditional salami and ham flavors bursting throughout every bite. But the star of the show was the Meatball sub, their sauce is Devine! So zesty and delicious, the Meatball was seasoned perfectly and was piping hot, Mama Mia! Couldn't recommend them any more. Thank you so much Jack, can't wait to go back.

It's more store than restaurant. We love buying pepperoni and sausage from here to make homemade pizza. Great value and they taste WAAAY better than from the grocery store! The sandwiches are also very good.

Delicious sandwiches. I've had the Italian sausage with green peppers and onions and it's fantastic. It doesn't come with marinara sauce, but you can ask them to add some.
