Love this place!!! If you want something to eat, something to keep you warm, or most anything else you might find it here. Every time we're up in Gualala we'll be stopping in to grab a pastry and maybe even a pizza.

The bakery/Mexican/pizza/ice cream shop is the fastest fast food in gualala. The gualala market is cheaper than the surf across the street though the surf has better produce and bigger selection of niche products. The two complement each other nicely.

Small place but great vibes. Everyone was friendly, can't use bathroom unless you buy something. They have wifi pizza mexican food and like bagels all next to a deli or Market.

Make sure you bring a mask so the locals don't hurt themselves running away. They have not lifted the mask mandate as most of the rest of the state has. I played along and put a mask on once they got one for me. But before that however I saw pure terror and distress in their eyes, and watched a few scramble away. Don't put them through that. You wouldn't want to live with that level of fear. Pretty much everything is overpriced but you should have already known that being it's the California coast. Place is clean enough employees, are not helpful at all in the grocery store. Needed birthday candles so asked if they had any. Was told "I dunno, I think their over there somewhere" then he stood there acting as if he had actually helped.

I'll give it four stars because I'm pretty sure it's the only sign of civilization after driving several hours north of whatever the last major town is coming up from San Francisco... Other than that it's fairly mediocre... I forgot her name but the lady that works at the Chevron is really nice...
