Easily the worst managed Home Depot in America. The store and parking lot are filthy with trash everywhere. Displays are regularly broken. Merchandise is strewn around the aisles.

It’s shocking how much nicer the Emeryville store just a few miles away is.

I go to the Home Depot all the time it's been a whole heck of a lot of money there and I appreciate that looks like they've got extra security even in the parking lot but that didn't matter because they were just talking on their phone six cars away while my phone got broken into and they stole my bag with my asthma inhaler in it my medical supplies I think I even had an extra set of car keys in the bag yeah I'm a dumbass but shoot just thought Home Depot might like to know that the money that they're spending on security and working because guess you got to have security for the security or put a big tall fence around the whole parking lot and only let paying customers inside. So it looks like from now on I'll have to park in the loading zone every time I go to Home Depot.

Your regular Home Depot but the parking area is small and a bit of a mess. The garden center is also similarly seems small compared to other locations.

If you guys dont want to have a bad day and dont care about driving a couple miles i’d recommend going to the store in Hercules.

I’ve had a lot of bad experiences in el Cerrito store, the last one I had I ordered a special toilet online and it was supposed to arrive within 2-3 week Which it was ok with me, when I went to pick up the toilet the young ladies on customer service were very rude and they had me waiting for almost an hour because they could not find the toilet on the back warehouse, and when I asked them how much longer I needed to wait they ignored me and said “just wait on the other side because you are not the only customer here”- after waiting for almost an hour another young guy arrived also with a rude attitude and said “you better check it because it’s broken”- when I opened up the box the toilet tank was completely cracked and I there was no other toilet on the back- the box looked damaged (maybe they dropped the toilet while unloading it). And here I go again to talk with the Rude lady and she just said, “if you don’t want it, I’ll give you a refund, go to your house and order it again” and I needed to wait another 2-3weeks.

I had no other option but this time I ordered it in the Hercules store, the customer service was great and I only waited 5-10 minutes for them to bring me the toilet.

I picked up a saw from the shelf with a price tag indicating $13.97. However, at the checkout, it scanned at $15.97. When I asked about the difference, I was told that the SKU on the label was for a different product. The staff's response was dismissive and unhelpful.
Shop at your own risk.

If you are lucky enough, you’ll meet an expert employee, Mr. Norman! 👍 He is truly the treasure of Home Depot. My heater’s pilot light wouldn’t stay lit, and it was really difficult for me to fix it since I have no knowledge about it. Fortunately, when I went to Home Depot to buy accessories, Mr. Norman gave me very professional advice. I asked for his help two days in a row, and finally, I found the right parts and received detailed directions from him! He is extremely professional, experienced, patient, and kind! He is truly a treasure and deserves more than 5 stars! Thank you, Mr. Norman!!!👍👍👍

Easily the worst customer service experience I have ever had. The wrong item was delivered to my home (which cost $80 just for the delivery fee) and then I had 8 different employees refuse to help me and put me on hold. I will be contesting the charge with my credit card company and going to a different store. 10 out of 10 would not recommend.

I visited during the AM shift on January 15 looking for a hedge trimmer. The item was marked as on sale but I could not find it on display. Thanks to Shanika in the Garden section who requested a forklift operator and brought the item down for me. The team was friendly and very helpful.
