Although I was initially very excited to check out Star Pine nursery as it is a neighborhood business, my enthusiasm was dashed as I drove into the parking lot. There are several 'temporary' buildings in various states of disrepair. Despite the gates being open, when I knocked on both buildings' doors, there was no answer and the doors were locked. I looked around and asked loudly if anyone was there but it appeared to completely vacant.

Additionally, although one would expect a nursery/landscape architecture business to have clean, manicured facilities to demonstrate their prowess, the plants looked poorly tended to, there were weeds growing all over and the one grassy area was very patchy and dry (and it had a beat up looking outdoor recliner).

If they want to inspire confidence in their work, a good place to start would be with their own facilities.
