Really disappointed. I was excited to see a branding of “hot chili” 🌶️ on one of their oils as I was passing through the ferry building in San Francisco. I nabbed it up readily.

When I tried it, I was confused. It literally does not taste like it has anything hot in it, at all. I’m not being dramatic. My wife, who is sensitive to heat in foods doesn’t even notice any heat in this oil. I literally thought maybe they labeled it incorrectly?

Then, there’s just the fact that the oil itself isn’t even great, to me. So, in my opinion, it’s worthless.

Really good selection of olive oils! Great quality and good prices and located in the historic Ferry Building. The Basil and Rosemary ones are my favorite. They used to offer tastings pre-covid which they no longer seem to offer, hopefully they bring it back soon!

The chipotle honey seasoning mix is so addicting! I eat it with bread and olive oil as a dip.
The gift set I got for a friend is also super cute 🙂

Although, during the COVID-19 Crisis, there was just one person at the store in the Ferry Building, she was so very courteous and nice. I was very impressed with how helpful she was. I wanted to have some olive oil shipped to a friend. She said she would do it but asked if maybe I would do it on line because she was the only one there and I said of course because I didn't want her to be occupied when there were other customers. Their olive oil is fantastic; that is why I was sending some to a friend back east.

I ordered a Olio nuovo Taggiasca Olive oil and I got a standard version. Taggiasca olives make great oil when harvested early (what Olio Nuovo is, naturally green) but a very boring oil when harvested late also the health benefit is only present when harvested early. I contacted the company twice and never got any response. I wrote a negative review on their website but they never published it, only 5 star reviews. So I think that are very bad business practices and I will not buy from them again!

Estate and Olio Santo EVOO are both great for bread dipping, extremely nutty and creamy. The lady at store is very patient and helpful. Highly recommend!

Bought the house blend while on vacation in SF a year or two ago, and I’ve repurchased a few times since. In fact, I ordered another replacement bottle of the House blend today.
