Swell date spot. Hip decor!
Yeah, yeah. Beer selection, vast. Pizza, plenty tasty. Service, first class. Blah blah blah, etc.
That said, the star of the show is this crazy-eyed gnome that sat opposite of me at the bar. His gaze is mesmerizing.

There’s pizza, yes, yummy-garlicky finger licking good pizza… then there’s Woods. I’m in love with this pizza place! Service was great, obviously the pizza was yummy good- gourmet style with a crust that you could eat on its own and the drinks 🍺 well you almost, really cannot have just one because then, how would you finish your pizza? We had such a wonderful time, the warm ambiance lead us to the best much needed conversation and well the rest is history and only hope you #enjoy it as well. Go for the pizza, stay for the conversation and leave wanting more 🍕❤️🤍💙

I always love their beer. Local honey ale is a must have. Great balance between herb aromatics and malt taste. Also, the art they have is amazing. Look above the bar when you come.

Pretty chill place with indoor & outdoor seating. A reasonable drink list. Joyride Pizza served here. Combined, the Detroit style pizza & drinks is nice. It wasn’t very clear, but pick your seat & order at bar. On a Saturday at 5:30ish, there were 1-2 tables open. So it wasn’t packed but wait times may vary quite a bit. Parking isn’t bad on the street

Killer under-the-radar local brewery, winery, and pizza place. Airy, quiet, moody vibe, but with a bright, green back porch. Decent selection of beer, including super high-end missed fermentation, although some favorites floated their kegs by 6PM. Most are also available to-go in 16oz. Delicious deep-dish, and I appreciated the option to get a half-size (you won't finish a full pizza without a friend).

One of my absolute favorite places in the city. Great atmosphere, wine/beer, and the bartenders are super personable. Also, they host Joyride Pizza, which goes well with the drinks!

Perfect for a date or with friends.

Fabulous beer and service. Gluten Free crust available and wonderful. I highly recommend a visit. Our bartender was a young woman and a man (sadly I didn’t get their names) who deserve 5 stars out of 5. Go and eat and drink here. You will be glad you did.

I'll start this off with the positives, which are plentiful. It's a great brewery! Certainly one of the best stops on our West Coast tour. Pretty much everything about it is great. The beer was among the best we had, and the place has a really awesome aesthetic going for it. We were warned multiple times that SF would be full of the poor and homeless (as if that should even be considered negative). I heard the phrase "trash city" more than I can count. Our experience with SF was anything but. SF is a gorgeous city with a wonderfully laid back vibe, and Woods fell right in line with that for the most part.

That said, this was very nearly not a 5 star review thanks to the rudest server I've come across in the 500+ breweries I've visited, but it would be a shame to ding the brewers and other staff who worked really hard to create an awesome brewery. He could have just been having a bad day, so I don't want to make a big deal out of it. But what I will say on the matter is that when someone is travelling cross country, did painstaking research to make sure the only 2-3 breweries they have time to visit in your city are all fun, and they land on yours as one of those, you should never, ever make them feel bad for wanting to try multiple of your beers.

Imagine that person has only one of your beers and doesn't like it. Now it becomes a bruise on an otherwise great trip, stops them from getting to-go beer (which we did), and basically solidifies that they'll spread the (negative) word to anyone they can reach. I may not agree with the decision to not offer sample/half pours, but as long as you're polite about it I'll never be salty. However, if you make childish comments about doing 5 half pours for two people when there is only three other people in the brewery - one being an obvious friend that you just want to BS with - that's a problem. I sincerely hope that was just an aberration, because this is an otherwise awesome spot!
