Very disappointing customer service from an employee and manager. I went in with my husband for holiday shopping on Dec.15th. The eager sales person sold us on buying an immersion blender we wanted that was not instock but assisted us to purchase it online, right there in the store. She assured us it would arrive by Christmas and we left with a print out and a confirmation delivery day of Dec. 24-27th.

We received multiple emails from Williams-Sonoma and the delivery date kept getting pushed out, Jan 6, Jan 14, then May 8th!

I called customer service to see if it was a typo- it was not. The immersion blender is out of stock and on backorder. I was told I could cancel the order or wait. The customer service was very helpful and checked any stores with stock and found one in Oregon. She said I would have to call to order it and get it shipped to the local SLO store and then cancel my existing order to get it sooner.

When I called the store in SLO to ask for help with this, the Manager answered and was short, frazzled and complained she was helping a customer and put me on hold, even though she didnt ask to put me on hold at first. She came back a few minutes later and was complaining she didnt even have the store open yet and would need a few hours to call the Oregon store and get back to me.

Later that afternoon I received a call back from the same Manager and was told that customer service was incorrect and Oregon had no inventory of my item. She offered me no recourse, or apologies even though her staff was so eager to get the sale under false pretenses.

I DO NOT recommend shopping at this store ever again.

Horrible customer service. We got an email confirmation that our purchase was ready to pick up. When we went there all we got from the manager was “eh, we don’t have it.” No apology.

Eye candy for any chef or food connoisseur. The displays in William Sonoma are creative and inspirational for each season. I like how the table displays are layered and the use of color. The products in this store are supurb. I buy all of my chocolate cocoa from here. William Sonoma also has food samples for the season. In fall they have their pumpkin bread mix to sample usually with their pumpkin butter. Always a purchase for me. Christmas is gingerbread, or their hot cocoa or peppermint bark. Wandering around the store munching on your sample, you get to take in the inventory of the latest kitchen electronics. The copper Kitchen Aid mixers, cuisinart blenders and toaster ovens, Shun knives, and the latest small gadgets. Everything you could every want under one roof.

The parking stinks, why bother going and paying ridiculous prices for parking to buy kitchen stuff. Bed Bath & Beyond was a better option until they closed that beautiful store. Going downtown is just not worth it, so driving to Santa Maria with more stores and free parking is just better period. Also Fordans that used to be across the street is gone which used to be a great store closed and now there's this ridiculous restaurant there. The old charm of the downtown is gone, it's horrible now

We tried to shop at your SLO store yesterday to buy several items seen on the web! No parking close by! Finally found a 30 minute spot a block or so away. $4/hour for parking to buy at your store! Almost left then, but To top it off, the meter did not work. The three of us drove away and bought our items on line from another store! UR better off moving out of downtown SLO.

Don't buy from this company. They don't care about their customers. They want to charge $12 to return an item that cost $14.95. It does not say that anywhere on the website, until you try to return. Shame on you.

I love shopping in SLO and I love shopping in this Williams Sonoma. Customer service was great and all my questions and kitchen needs were absolutely addressed despite all the pandemic difficulties and the hustle and bustle of holiday shopping. Thank you for being there.
