Eggs supposed to be scrambled. Got 9 onion rings for $6. bacon is overcooked, bread was crammed in the container. And there is an extreme amount of raw mushrooms on this burger. Overall NOT impressed at all….

Really like having such a store close. I have been a regular shopper since opened. Staff is overwhelmingly great. Very helpful. Usually has most everything i need. Great prices. Adds are great. Even though it's a continued work in progress but making it easier to grab things in one spot, like the new cooler placed right in the middle of vegetables and fruit, condiments and such are just a few steps away.

We stopped here for breakfast Saturday and we were not disappointed! The waitress was friendly with just the right amount of sarcasm to make us laugh. Our breakfast was cooked perfectly! And it didn’t cost us a fortune! I would highly recommend VanPamel’s!

We stopped here over this past weekend on March 1, 2025 and had breakfast. We had never visited this diner, but learned the breakfast is definitely a hidden gem.
I had the biscuits and gravy and my partner had a traditional breakfast with eggs, hash browns, and homemade toast . You could tell the staff recognized that we had never been there before so they were very gracious to explain their portion sizes . We elected to have half size portions yet were still incredibly generous. The atmosphere felt like you were at a relative’s home . Very welcoming with a that familiar retro classic vibe . I highly recommend stopping here for breakfast if you are in that region of northern Michigan.

The Friday take out fish dinner was delicious! They give you a lot of food for your money. Even being in a take out container, the cod still had a crunchy coating. Mashed potatoes are homemade and they give you a huge serving of gravy on the side. Best green beans! Salad was fresh and crisp, tasted good on a hot day. Very filling meal. Friendly workers, clean establishment.

This place is amazing EVERYTIME! You will never find food this good at any chain restaurant! This is a small town diner, with exceptional quality food! It's like home cooked food, but with more of a professional touch! Prices are great, food is great! What are you waiting for?

What a find! This place has delicious food and friendly service in a cozy diner setting. Portions are absolutely huge!

Got the omelette with American fries and a blueberry pancake. The omelette was nice and fluffy, the American fries were home style fried potatoes, and also very good. The blueberry pancake was the best part though, the size of a dinner plate and bursting with blueberries!

Overall an A++++! Definitely one of the best breakfast places I have tried in Michigan!
