Great experience. Mr. Goodall gave our tour. I had my service dog/retired K9 with me and my 4yr old. I was grateful they told me the deck was metal and the steps had the "spikes" on them. If traveling with a service dog, make sure you can pick them up or they have dog shoes on because the deck will burn their paws. Make sure you are taking a REAL SERVICE DOG because it is a ship and spaces are very confined with a lot of people. The tour was great, he was very knowledgeable, fun, and made history come to life. The tour is an hour long. The staff was great!

What an incredible opportunity to experience such an important part of U.S. history! We learned a lot, and the volunteers/crew were all so nice, helpful, and informative. We stopped by to see the ship when it docked in Pittsburgh for the weekend, and I will never forget it!

Make sure you bring your walking shoes. It's a big ship with very steep steps! Be careful with your children when on the top deck, and be respectful of the artifacts and history here. Also, it was a long wait in the hot sun to get in, so stay hydrated!

I went aboard today. Since I work at the Ernie Pyle WWII Museum, I had a good idea of the significance of the lst, but to know is different than to experience, and this is one of those cases. Sadly I forget the guide (find out whomever did the 12pm tour and that's the guy). He was super informed.

This is really a treasure to anyone who's interested in wwii and I absolutely would recommend it.

Hidden gem in Evansville! Did not need to buy tickets in advance even on a weekend. Tour was excellent with a funny and informative guide. Lots to see and learn. Even had a small cute gift store for a souvenir. Definitely recommend if in Evansville.

This is a fantastic tour! The tour guide is very knowledgeable and points out many small details. So much is original to the ship and well preserved. Will definitely make another trip in warmer weather when the guns are all uncovered and the doors are opened.

We got to tour the USS LST-325 when it stopped in Alton. It is a very fascinating ship with a lot of history. The tour was self guided and lets you explore quite a bit of the ship. I think it’s very impressive that this ship is still operational and even more so they navigate the rivers to share it with people in other cities. Definitely worth your time if it stops in a city near you!

We had a wonderful experience visiting the LST-325 in Muscatine, Iowa during its annual cruise. Tickets are only available for purchase on-site (no advance sales), priced at $20 for adults with a 2% service fee for credit card payments. The tour is self-guided, but staff were stationed throughout the ship to answer questions, and they were all very friendly and helpful. We truly enjoyed learning about the ship’s history. The only downside was that it was entirely self-guided — a guided tour would have made the experience even better.

Such a unique experience. Was somewhat short and the tour included a lot of pauses where the guide will tell you about the history of the ship. Wish there was more to it but definitely recommend anyone to least check it out once especially if you an history buff.
