My stay on the Under the Hoof farm was so fun and relaxing. The bunkhouse where I stayed had everything I could need to rest comfortably, cook meals, and come back after a long day of exploring the property and seeing the animals. If you’re looking for a get away from daily life, I highly recommend the Under the Hoof farm. Merle and Russ were so accommodating, and have a beautiful piece of land to visit. I will definitely be back!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Russ and Merle's Airbnb in the midst of pristine nature, and it was truly an amazing experience. Over the course of four nights, I was able to immerse myself in the tranquility of the surroundings and escape the hustle and bustle of city life.

Russ and Merle, the hosts, were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They not only provided a comfortable accommodation but also took the time to share their hobbies and work with me. I learned so much from them and enjoyed engaging conversations about their passions.

One of the highlights of my stay was interacting with their goats and dogs. It was a delightful experience to play with these friendly animals and feel the stress of city life melt away. The presence of these animals added an extra charm to the serene atmosphere of the place.

If you're seeking a peaceful retreat and an opportunity to reconnect with nature, I highly recommend staying at Russ and Merle's place. The warm hospitality, beautiful surroundings, and the chance to interact with their adorable animals make it a truly memorable experience.

Overall, my stay at Russ and Merle's Airbnb was nothing short of wonderful. I left feeling rejuvenated and grateful for the opportunity to experience such a tranquil and captivating environment.

10-Stars⭐️ We came down from North Georgia, to put a contract on a home in Brewton, AL nearby and found this lovely cabin on working Goat, Chicken, Tortoise, etc & Tree farm on AirBNB. 🙂 Merle & Russ treated us like family, and have stayed friends ever since❣️ They stocked the cabin with all kinds of extra touches & even left us some wine to enjoy after our long trip. Peaceful and tranquil out there. Great hosts and special friends❣️
P.S. We joyfully bought our home there, and even came back to stay at the cabin when we closed on the home and during the moving in process. We moved my precious Momma, Connie, in with us and Mom was able to stay at the cabin that week till we got unpacked & her bedroom/bath suite all ready for her. She fell in love with the tranquility there, too. Merle & Russ checked on her like she was their own Mother, Lordy- we could not have asked for any more special care !! Thank you both!! Visits to Under the Hoof bookend our 7000 mile drive across the country. Russ and Merle made both the beginning and end of our trip a joy. The charming accommodations, comfortable and simple and fun. Surrounded by nature in a safe fun farm setting with goats and chickens and the most gracious hosts I could not recommend it more highly. Get back to nature, write that book - rejuvenate yourself in the pines and under the stars. Loved our stay there. Mark and Marilyn Missett.

It was awesome!! Very comfortable rustic cabin in a private setting. Great porch with comfortable rocking chairs to relax and watch the farm activities and friendly animals. Enjoy a true farm experience with great hosts (Russ & Merle) to make it even better. Plenty of land to take some short hikes. Look for the protected rare tortoises and their large holes.

Under the Hoof is an amazing place. We have been here several times and each time has been just amazing! You have everything you could possibly need. The property is amazing and the hospitality of the owners Russ and Merle is second to none. The goat,chickens and the puppies are fabulous. The place is laid back and a great place to relax and recharge! We just love it here!

I had the pleasure of staying in the "Bunk House" in early May. It was an amazing visit. The cabin is beautiful, the surroundings peaceful and idillic, and the hosts inviting. Fresh eggs every morning can't be beat and a glass a wine while you watch the stars just as nice. Thanks Merle and Russ for a great visit!!

I can’t recommend this place enough! The goats are my personal favorite but the dogs and chickens deserve an honorable mention ? Under the Hoof is so charming and peaceful and you could not ask for better hosts than Russ & Merle. I look forward to my next visit ?
