There are SO MANY wine tasting rooms in the area, but make this one a priority! While some of them drop your flight on the table and leave you with an info sheet, The Valley Project is an immersive experience. The guys know their stuff -- from history of the region to the winemaking process -- and they refer frequently to the huge (and entertaining!) wall map to provide context for the wines they highlight. And each bottle we tasted was excellent.

My first ever wine tasting and it was brilliant I’m from London so to try some wines from California. We did the red tastings the guy explained with passion and I found the whole experience fascinating and the wine was top notch

Had an afternoon to explore the Funk Zone and all the tasting rooms, restaurants, and tap houses but ended up getting stuck at The Valley Project and Kunin Wines for a couple hours. Tim was the tasting room associate and provided a great experience with a ton of information about the wine, regions of the AVA's and Santa Barbara itself. Lots of different wines available and it's a unique experience tasting wines from different grapes and regions. Super fun and a great time. If you cant decide between all the tasting rooms to visit, just make sure The Valley Project is one of them and make sure you ask for Tim. He's the man! Cheers!

As a wine club member for years and upon returning was met with an unwelcoming environment from the main manager. Been their multiple times with great experiences until coming to meet one of the male workers. He was unwelcoming and didn’t live up to the previous welcoming experiences. Even though some experiences have been good, they made it so unwelcoming we decided to go next door where we had a much better time. If you are just visiting I would recommend going but the attitude of some workers isn’t up to par with what you may want.

We did a quick stop here in June, as they were closing. Graham was working, he was very welcoming even at closing time. He poured us Mourvedre, amazing wine. Graham took his time telling us about SB, the wine, and good places to eat around town. So needless to say the service is amazing, and wine that matches. We would love to come back and try other wines and spend more time here.
