First time ordering from here. Checkout is through a 3rd party (Bolt) and was cumbersome and a bit concerning, it took multiple attempts to get my order in. They say they take PayPal but every attempt failed to connect to PayPal to complete the order. They are a bit slow to ship, ordered on Thursday and received a shipping confirmation email late Tuesday. First impressions were not impressive.

Glad I bought the low sodium chicken base and not the regular.

I had to buy a base since my time constraints no longer let me make my own stock. One of my main reasons for making stock is to control how much salt goes into it.

I chose the base from this company because it had a lower sodium content than most others I looked at. It is still very, very salty.

I adjusted my soup recipe to account for more salt, but I should have just left it out. I'm not really happy with this, but I can probably work around it.

Just be aware that if you use this base you'll want to be careful to account for the saltiness.

I ordered lemon zest for the first time from this company to satisfy an order of 1000 bottles of lemon pepper for my customers. I had been ordering from Spices Inc. (Far superior) but they were backordered. This led me into the nightmare of GAS Co. I ordered 25lbs based off of the self-proclaimed “quality spices” from their website boasting. I believed what they claimed to be. I received the zest in a timely fashion, but the product was not properly prepared to be considered, lemon peel zest. It was way too pithy (Unbearable bitterness) I immediately spit it out due to the horrific bitter flavor. In no way could I use it without drastically altering and ruining my recipe and reputation with my customers. I called cs, spoke to a lethargic and rude person named Joe, who told me that there are no refunds or returns and that I “should have bought a smaller bag first!!!” When I complained about the overpowering bitterness, Joe asked in his most condescending tone, “ What flavor did you expect from lemons?” Very ignorant and unprofessional. End result, I was stuck with 25lbs of terrible tasting lemon PITH for $239. Hoping that my card dispute is approved to rectify this falsely advertised product, as a quality product. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE, AND I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN.

They don't answer their phones. The "customer service option" goes to a voice-mail and the "operator" loops you back to the beginning of the automated system. Can't trust a business that doesn't even want to talk to its customers.

Received my first order from them a week or two ago, and am *very* pleased with every product. Everything seems very fresh, quality seems high. I will definitely be a repeat customer. Super happy with the spinach powder in particular. Great way to get sneaky veggies into meals for a toddler.

I ordered a large set of spices, including Prague Powder #1 from here because they were one of the few places to claim to have it in stock. They seemed reputable. I placed a large order November 29. Nothing happened for a week, so I sent a message. Customer service responded December 6 claiming it was packed and "would ship out the next day." By December 11 (now two weeks after my initial order), nothing had changed, so I called customer service. They claim they were "backed up from Black Friday sales", but my order would go out that day. Magically, after I called, a tracking number shows up the next morning.

If you order from these people, know that they won't bother filling your order until you complain a couple weeks later. I don't believe for a second that my order was filled December 6. I also don't buy that they're swamped more than two weeks after Black Friday. I order plenty of things from sole proprietors who manage to get items shipped out quickly.

Avoid this place and order spices from Starwest Botanicals, Mountain Rose Herbs, or The Spice and Tea Exchange.

Update: 1pm 12/14. Credit where credit is due regarding the quick response and the partial refund. However, upon receiving my order today, I noticed that their labeling is way off. While I did receive Prague Powder (I'm fairly certain), the ingredients list was absolutely not for the product in the container. It was for some other spice blend. I called customer service, and they explained they "migrated to a new labeling system" and "something got crossed". I'm not sure why someone would develop a labeling system that prints the correct name and pulls from somewhere else for the ingredients list. I retain the two-star rating, since the partial refund and serious labeling issue cancel each other out.

I 've bought 50 lbs whole milk powder and it was bad and spoiled. It tasted and smelled like some kind of oil and it looked very yellow. I ended up throwing all in the garbage. I lost lot of money. I've left many messages to the customer service. They've refused to help me. I will never ever order anything from them . Bad business people and over priced.
