Brought my son on his first trip to the Food Bin/Herb Room. It was a bitter sweet experience as my father would bring me to the food bin when I was little. They used to have the best Seasoned tortilla Chips and Blue Chips. Youd fill up a whole bag and itd only cost you like $2.00. The Food Bin is a generational W/Side Institution.

I just found this place today. Amazing funky little store with a good selection of food and produce at reasonable prices. If I lived in Santa Cruz I would shop here regularly not just for the food but to feel more connected to the community.

A great little neighborhood stop for specialty groceries and other essentials. The staff are friendly and helpful. Prices are a bit high but are worth the convenience.

This is a great little grocery store. A Santa Cruz legend. I love to shop here. It's small so it doesn't have everything under the sun but usually I find what I need!

Did she dispose I like food been because the food is local and goodly goodly price well priced good. Like him into the Faith been I had $24 bills in my pocket all ones as I slowly decided what food I would eat yes II realized that I actually didn't 29 I actually had $29 bills and once I had picked out all my foods and was satisfied with the delightful treats I go up to the cash register and there is a wonderful nice average looking person as we put down all of it he said the total will be $31 yes it is But I only had 29 all is and if I did my math correctly that is $2 less so I said here I will take this bar out but that bar

Its either friendly neighborhood vibes or im being followed. Today was really aggressive, like pretending to look in fridges near me and being right behind me down every aisle. ok yes high rent, ok yes ppl need to get paid, ok “we dont control prices”. Im not unhoused but im often read as sus bc im punk, so the last couple times ive been here I received this carcel treatment. i understand the motives but yall arent taking action to make food more accessible and instead employees have to increasingly Police your own customer base. Have yall tried to figure out a better way to do this, do yall WANT to be cops? I doubt it but yall gotta be creative and stop projecting your hatred for the Unhoused on everyone. Like imagine wanting to support a small business but you are treated hella sus, like damn ill go to get grocery outlet then.
