So glad this place came to the island!! Everything I've had has been very delicious. A bit pricey. Sandwiches are about twenty bucks, but then they are huge and really the size of 2 sandwiches! Coffee is good, treats are good. Clean, fast, friendly, good vibe. Menu changes. My ONLY complaint is that they close at 3pm. I would've loved evening options, maybe live music once in a while, maybe wine with my girls without feeling like I'm going to a bar?

My favorite spot! High quality food, cute atmosphere, great service. One sandwich feeds me and my two kids. The grilled cinnamon rolls are a favorite in my house. I try a different latte every time I visit and I’ve never been disappointed.

It is so nice to finally have another restaurant on the island. They have sandwiches (I plan to try every single one until I find a favorite), pastry and coffee.

Staff very friendly, gourmet coffee (not the Starbucks burnt tar that has been sitting all day), best of all lunch was great. Classic Simple sandwiches and they don’t skimp on the meat. Gluten free breads available!! Will be back soon hungry! Good luck to a great new island business.

5 Stars – Long Overdue Shoutout to a Hidden Gem!

This review is long overdue, but The East End Café in Detroit absolutely deserves the recognition. We stopped in a while back and were genuinely impressed by everything — from the cozy, welcoming vibe to the incredible service.

The portions were amazing, and the sandwiches? So good. Fresh, flavorful, and just the kind of comfort food you crave. You can tell they put care into every part of the experience, and it left a lasting impression on us.

If you’re in Detroit and looking for a laid-back spot with great food and even better hospitality, don’t miss The East End Café. We’ll definitely be back!

Love this place. If you order food, be prepared to take some home. The food is well prepared and delicious. Portions are huge! Ambiance is great, staff is fantastic, service is very quick. Highly Recommend!
