It was my first time shopping at Tates, and I really enjoyed the experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. The isles were wide, and shelves were well stocked as the staff were busy with taking care of those needs. The prices seemed competitive, and their selection was impressive.
The one kink or concern during my visit was the men's bathroom. To simply say it had been neglected is a huge understatement. The fixtures were straight out of the 50s, worn out and worse - wasn't clean, and it smelled like it. The exhaust fan cover was missing, and the fan didn't work. There was no hot water AND no towels for drying your hands. After seeing the clean, tidy store, the condition of the bathroom was a shocker.

Tate's is the greatest supermarket I've ever had the privilege of shopping. It has incredible prices (cheaper milk than anywhere else!) incredible customer service, and a wide variety of products. They support the local community and don't ship their money to a massive corporation elsewhere.

Support your local store and don't go to DG (Seriously look at YouTube on what they do to businesses. Supporting Dollar General ruins communities.)

Prices on most things are very good even with the tax. They had Hunts ketchup 20oz. for 99 cents. Great buy! BTW the expiration dates were in 2026

I love the deals that are given regularly and refer all my family and friends. Only giving 4 stars because customer service at checkout is beyond explanation. The young girls who run registers need some customer service 101. That said, I can't pass up the deals so hopefully they will correct their attitudes.

If you buy bulk meat you better have the money and a place to put it when you get home. However it is worth it ever bit..

Very nice employee. They help you if you need help loading your groceries in a vehicle. Love the Different food prices.
