Every time I come visit Des Moines, I have to stop here. You want to be reminded of home (New York), and eat REAL pizza 🍕, this is it. The owner is from NY, and brought NY here. The moment you enter the store, YOU KNOW you’re home. I love this place, people are warm, and kind. Pizza is great too. 😋🤤

Having come in from the east coast and NYC, we thought we'd see if these pies stood up to the the authentic ones we had in the Big Apple...and boy, did they! The crust was crispy, but still foldable, and the sauce was tasty but not overpowering and uber spicy like the chain pizza guys make. Well worth the stop to grab a slice!

This has become my go to spot when I'm in the area and want something quick. Lots of tasty choices for toppings. My favorite order is one white slice and one margherita slice. My son loves this place and eats slices as big as his head. Canoli is fantastic too!

Just went here tonight for the first time and this is coming from an (East Coast guy) !
I was raised in CT right next to NY, I've been to NYC many times in my life, pretty much spent 26 years on the east coast and I can confidently say this.... This pizza is the closest you're going to get to NYC pizza in the state of Iowa!
We ordered the garlic knots and the Margherita pizza along with a regular cannoli.
Total order came out to around $35 , The pizza cost $25, the knots for 5 was about $5 and the cannoli was $4.
I went ahead and asked one of the workers the story behind the place and with great detail and a friendly attitude was told the owners of the shop came to Iowa from NY and quite a few of the workers were from NY as well !
Very nice atmosphere in there, friendly staff, and AMAZING food !!
Those pizza ovens were HOT, all our food came out in about 15 minuets and we tore into our dinner right in the parking lot, couldn't have been more pleased with the meal.

The cannoli filling was delicious, soft, velvety and tasted so fresh, the shell was crispy and perfectly cooked.
The knots were soft with crispy peaks and edges yet fluffy,soft and full of flavor !!
And finally that pizza was delicious!!!
Steaming hot, crisp bottom , beautifully cooked and thin just like in NY! the dough however is made in house, doesn't come from NYC itself but I'm sure the recipe comes from NY.

We will absolutely be returning here and the slices are massive !

The pizza was good, and I didn't know what to pick from there amazing selection. The lasagna pizza was good, but the meat was not what I was expecting. I would not turn down a slice, but I also would not order it again. Their specialty pizza was delicious and I would happily eat another slice of the floppy goodness.

Really good! Huge slices and the taste is great. This was our first pizza place since moving into the area and it didn't disappoint. The Greek salad was also very good! Look forward to trying different pizzas from here.
