Food was great ! The lady in the front that is missing all her teeth with glasses on was very rude ! She ignored my kids as if she couldn’t accept their order but once she seen one of the adults coming she changed her demeanor. Not sure if she’s racist or just a dick to kids but she ruined the whole atmosphere. Had another customer complaining about her as well that was sitting next to us.

We were traveling through town, looking for a quick lunch before we headed for Oklahoma. My wife said, "Look, there's a Taco Tico!"
I turned our vehicle around and back to the restaurant.
Reminded both of us of our childhood and teen years. We ordered a combo Taco dinner and a pick 3 for $5.99. My only regret was the Taco burger and Sancho to go, didn't make it home.

I can't believe how bad the meat is. I taste test all my wet cat foods and dog foods, and that would be better. The meat is incredibly over seasoned and more like a liver pate texture. Liver would be much better. It has a taste like rotten deer mush or bad bitter tripe. The other items without taco meat were good. Employees nice and overall a good atmosphere. Just not the meat...

Gross smelling and dirty Men's room at 2:00pm. From the dirt and filth on both sides of the restroom door, the floor was gross and sticky around the urinal, the paper towel dispenser batteries were low and the towels came out very slowly, the soap dispenser was loose on the wall and flopped around when I tried to use it, the trash can was full and there were used paper towels laying around it on the sticky floor and finally...the Men's Room smelled as bad as you can imagine it would as I described it. Oh, and I had to open the napkin dispenser to properly load the napkins so that they would properly dispense. Nice and friendly staff members. The food was adequate for the cost and reasonably prepared. LOVED THE GHOST SAUCE!!! Unfortunately, this restaurant is being maintained more like a dumpy old neighborhood gas station than a food service business, in my opinion.

What is the criteria for an exceptional quick serve Mexican restaurant? Great taste, good value and consistent quality. Taco Tico Derby checks all those boxes.

Picture this, if you will. You’re headed south from Wichita on your way to the Ozarks of northwest Arkansas, for your annual spring pilgrimage to float the beautiful Buffalo River. You’re hungry, but you’re also excited to get to your destination so you’re looking for somewhere to eat that is quick and delicious and offers a great value in a comfortable setting.

What’s this up ahead on the right? Why it’s the Taco Tico. A longtime Derby fixture. You roll in to the parking lot and slide in to a spot. Next thing you know you’re seated and enjoying all of your favorite Mexican fast food guilty pleasures.

Arranged on the table before you is a smorgasbord of delights. A taco burger, crunchy beef tacos, a deluxe sancho and beef enchiladas, swimming in their savory red enchilada sauce and melted cheese.

Before you know it, everything has made it to your stomach and you’re full and very satisfied. But wait, what’s keeping you from ordering a couple of bean and cheese burritos for the road? That’s right, nothing.

Next thing you know you’re back on your journey, headed to your destination. Beautiful southeast Kansas is gliding by through your windshield as you’re reflecting on the amazing experience you just had at the Taco Tico, while happily munching on your bean and cheese burritos.

Feeling rather pleased with yourself for making such a wise decision, you’re certain you’ll be back. This is my experience every April and has been for the last 35 years.

I rarely EVER COMPLAIN but this is absolutely ridiculous. Taco Burger was Cold & completely soggy. Looks like it was made & sat for a week before it was served. Minus - - - - 4🌟's My dog liked it OK though 😔

I've had taco tico since I was a little kid the food and price isn't too bad at all and the people are very respectful and nice at this location they are a little slow because of how busy they get but other than that great tacos for a great price.
