Cinnamon Swirl Bread: Sun-Maid has its origins going back to 1912, when a group of California raisin growers led by H.H. Welsh formed The California Associated Raisin Company. “Sun-Maid” is a nod to the natural process of raisins being made in the California sun. The logo came from a portrait of an actual woman named Lorraine Collett. Over 100 years later she can still be seen on the little red boxes today. Their Cinnamon Swirl Bread utilizes their famous raisins, along with cinnamon. Starting with the good, the bread is teeming with more than enough raisins to satisfy. They’re good raisins too as they are not overly dry and hard, but still a little soft, juicy, and sweet. I was a little disappointed with the texture of the bread, which was too stiff even after warming in the microwave. Alternatively, toasting the bread released a phenomenal cinnamon aroma along with adding a crunch. I tried taking things up a notch by adding some sweet Cinnamon Toast Crunch Spread, but it only went so far in improving the experience. I also utilized the bread to make French Toast, which was fantastic (but the peanut butter stuffing, syrup, and cinnamon frosting also fed into that taste). The bread is worth a try for raisin fans, but for me it was just okay doughboy_food_reviews

Appt @ 12:00pm. Arrived 11:45am. Check-in at gate with pick up number. You are advised to grab a hair net out of the shack by the qualcomm, then park on the west side. Porta potty by shipping office! ?
Go up to shipping office. They will have you fill out paper, (you will need license# of truck and trailer), get scaled for empty weight and then give you a dock number. I was in the dock immediately. Advised to stay in truck, so not sure why I needed hair net, but happy to oblige.
They also started loading me immediately. The people here are so professional and kind. Loaded and paperwork in hand by 12:45. They took pictures and put a bolt seal on the trailer. I was out and was done 5 minutes later. I had a terrific experience.

We took a detour to visit this place. Upon arriving, we found out that the giftshop is closed due to inventory. The least that they could have done is update their website that they will be closed for that day. Also, it would be nice if the receptionist (senior lady) would smile and be more welcoming, especially to out of town visitors. No sympathy at all to our frustration she just stared at her computer. Our only consolation was seeing the biggest box of raisin outside.

If you're coming there to pick up a load of raisins, expect long... very long wait to get all your trailer loaded. Came here a few times with either a 2pm or 3pm appointments, I've never left before 11pm or midnight.
They made the pallets one by one for your load. Nothing's ready in advance.
