The vegetarian pasties at Sposito's are delicious! The crust is perfect and the filling is flavorful. I haven't had a good vegetarian pasty in a long time, and was so glad we stopped here. We will definitely be back. The service was friendly and quick, and everything was very clean. There are souvenirs, fudge, maple syrup products, produce and used books for sale. There is a beverage cooler with drinks. They have a couple of tables inside and several picnic tables outside. Restroom has an outside entrance. I couldn't find an outside trash can, though, and there was no shade at the picnic tables, so some umbrellas would be nice. It was fairly busy when we were there, so parking was sort of a free-for-all.

I am not from the UP and had never tried a pasty, or really heard of them, until I saw signs on the way to Mackinac. I was determined to try them before we left. After checking on Google, Sposito's had the highest rating, and the reviews were all favorable. So, at around 10:45 on a Sunday morning, we pulled into a busy parking lot.

Let me say. The reviews were accurate. The crust was PERFECT. Flaky and wonderful. The fillings, amazing. We had the beef pasty with gravy and a strawberry rhubarb pasty. So, so good. The gravy is a MUST for the beef one!

100% wish we had this down South. I'm saving this restaurant for our next trip back!

A worthy competitor in the St. Ignace pastie scene, Sposito’s pastie was hearty, filling and the inclusion of extra onions gave it a bit more flavor than some others. Although its slightly smaller size and lighter pastry finish lost out against some others.

The space also sells more than just pasties! With fudge, maple syrup, sweet pasties and other fun, quiche goods I’d definitely recommend a stop if you find yourself on that side of the road (and state) and give it a try! Its clean and spacious interior has a small amount of seating, while more tables sit outside.

Excellent pasties and gravy with friendly service. Stopped here on a trip to the U.P. with my wife. This quaint restaurant has a very limited menu, but everything we had was delicious. We tried both the beef and veggie pasty variants with gravy. They have indoor and outdoor seating (weather permitting) and one unisex bathroom that is located outside on the side of the building.

This was our first stop after crossing the bridge.....it was SO delicious!!!! I've always been a fan of the traditional beef....but we did get one of their veggie pasties ....it was amazingly delicious!!!! Their gravy was a perfect addition....and the coleslaw was a great cold side to a fresh hot and ready pasty!!!! We plan on stopping on our way home to grab some frozen!!!! I highly recommend stopping here!!!!

Our first Pastie in Michigan so we have no point of reference to compare it too...BUT...I will say the blend of seasoning and ingredients were spot on. The pastry shell was cooked perfectly not overdone. Had the Beef Pastie with Gravy and the Blueberry one as well. We drove across the street and enjoyed the view.

Sposito’s Pasties is an Upper Peninsula gem! Cross the Mighty Mac and head west on US-2-/ just a few miles down the road is a “must stop” for lunch. They offer traditional beef pasties, vegetable pasties, and, on the day we visited, they had a special chicken pastie. We opted for the traditional beef—the filling was tender, moist, and flavorful, with a delicious crust. Add a side of gravy for the win! I was more than halfway through the pastie before I thought about snapping a pic. Sorry—but I think some other reviews may have a pic of the pasties. You can dine in or outside or take home these frozen delights for later. They also offer fudge, sweet bakery treats, and assorted t-shirts, mugs, etc. Neat, clean and a friendly staff! Would definitely swing in again and enjoy Sposito’s Pasties. Delish!

Honestly very pleasant! It’s an order window service style, but they have a couple tables inside and some picnic tables outside. We all got the beef pasty with gravy. Very good! The only complaint was the lack of vegetables inside, but as per the large sign inside: original beef pasties only have beef, potatoes, rutabaga, and onions. But it’s a great blend of flavors. And the staff that helped us was so kind.
