Fairly decent sized Asian section. I also liked that they support local businesses and carry their products in the store…Truckee Sourdough Bread, Cool Kettle Corn, Sierra Sweets were some that I spotted.

December 24th: had to get another smaller prime rib..today it is on sale for 9.99 a pound for freshly cut prime rib!

Good local grocery store. Update nov 23: they also have turkey dinners for individual or for 6 people. I called in and got a turkey dinner as a backup. For 15.99 you get turkey with gravy, stuffing, green beans along with a roll and cranberry sauce ( see photos). They are open on Thanksgiving!
They are known for their wide selection of meats..Great tomahawk and new York steaks. Good deli. They are typically a bit more expensive than other grocery stores. They do have good deals on wine. Today I got a 1.02 pound bone in New York steak...Best meat selection ever! Try their Pre-made sandwiches for under 7 bucks ! They also make hot burritos and other breakfast items. Employees are friendly !
Update. Sandwiches are now 7.49 but still totally worth it. Don't forget they have a post office inside store!

Roast Beef with the works on Dutch crunch bread add mayo x 5..

Call it it , pick up , easy process , nice employees...
(also have a good beer selection)

If you're looking for old fashioned customer service, phenomenal meat and produce.....Then SPD is your market....this place is absolutely amazing the staff is friendly and helpful...I went in at 8 in the morning for a tomato and some ice...I saw a hot bar and inquired about fried chicken....not only do they serve it but the super friendly lady took my special order and started it early....the cole slaw is fabulous and they even offer extra dressing if its not to your liking....more than 5 stars is certainly deserved!!!

I love this grocery store! It might not be the fanciest grocery store in town, but I think it’s the best. I know people are worried about this store because of Target opening next door, but the selection and quality of foods isn’t comparable. At SPD, the selection of foods is top quality — from the produce section to the meat section to the deli and bakery sections. Mostly, I love that the store is an Independent Grocer and locally owned!! I’m happy to continue to support our local grocer!
