I stumbled across this spot while walking around Solvang and thought it was pretty interesting! They have a wide variety of spices from around the world, which would be great if you're into cooking or just curious about trying new flavors.

They also sell sourdough bread mixes in different flavors — something I haven't seen before. Definitely a fun little find if you're looking to bring a little taste of Solvang home with you.

Super helpful little shop in the pretty town of Solvang. So many spices in different forms. A shop of my dreams. I loved the herbal tea and caffeinated loose leaf tea. And a plus if you run out they ship!

Wonderful selection of spices, salts, curries and other culinary enhancements. We wandered for a while before settling on some aromatic rose sugar. Great atmosphere and certainly worth visiting during your Solvang explorations.

We bought their organic chamomile tea on a trip to Solvang several years ago, and now we order it regularly. Bonus, their jars are good quality glass and they’re infinitely reusable for so many things Once the tea is gone, which is really awesome.

We came to Solvang about 5 years ago and I was recommended to come here for the Truffle salt. Quaint store with high end spices. This place has THE BEST TRUFFLE SALT. I always buy it before we run out. Great sprinkles on avocados, popcorn, potatoes, ect. Just got my shipment in and this time I ordered lavender sugar.. I’m planning on making lavender sugar cookies. Highly recommend this Jewel of a store!

While the selections are amazing the staff isn't. When I asked if there were samples to try I was told to smell the cap on the jars with an orange lid. No one greeted us when we came in, didn't offer any help. Didn't say thank you when we made a purchase nor when we left. I purposely went there to put together a wedding gift, needless to say I left without.

Was never greeted when we entered. No one ever asked if they could help. Walk up to pay, one worker walked away. The lady with dark hair rung me out. She never said thank you. I paid and said thank you, she never said anything. I bought five jars of spices. I’m hoping that the spices will be good and not like their very poor customer service. I never heard them great, or ask any of the customers l, if they could help them with anything. There was probably 7 customers there.

The Solvang Soice Merchant is a amazing spice store you can smell the spices in the store they many types of spiced all over the world. They sell tea,spice kits and many more items in the store. The staff at the Solvang Spice Merchant are very knowledgeable in the spices where it came from what country. The staff were very friendly. We need to come back again.
