My grandmother was recently at Sippican Health Care Center, and the care that she received was incredible. She was there for the last few months, and adjusted so well to her new home. She became more social than she had been in years, and made new friendships that she never thought she would make, both with staff and other residents. Sadly, she passed away a few days ago, but the care that she received throughout her stay, including her last days, was amazing. The staff was so unbelievably caring, and showed how much they cared about her by the way they spoke to her, and through the stories they shared with us about their interactions with her. Our family is so appreciative of the care she received while she was here. Thank you!

Sippican used to be a top tier health facility. It has turned into a cost cutting, save a nickel, bottom tier, terrible facility. The staff is great but are constantly blaming management for the poor conditions and lack of services. I served in the US Army and was served better food than the slop they dare to serve the paying patients. It is inedible in most cases. This place needs a complete overhaul. Don’t send your loved ones to Sippican!!!

My husband is currently in Sippican for rehabilitation after being hospitalized for heart issues. I am so impressed by every staff member, by his care team and by the cleanliness of the facility. He is receiving top notch care by knowledgeable professionals. I thank them all for who they are and what they do.

We wanted to reach out about our experience we had during our Sippican stay June 28th -July 10th
We stayed in the Windsor wing room 205. Our experience was exceptional! Everyone we came in contact with (all three shifts of nurses, physical therapist, occupational therapists, social workers etc.)from the moment we arrived and throughout our stay were so pleasant, friendly and helpful. They were very attentive to our needs not only always getting what we asked for but always asking us if there was anything we needed. Everyone made us feel special and right at home. Always offering suggestions for any issues we had and supporting us with anything we wanted to try. We felt like we weren’t just patients but family and their personalities made a tough situation we were in very bearable. So we wanted to make sure we gave praise and kudos to everyone as it is so deserved. Thank you for having such an incredible staff to care for us and keep our spirits up and stress down.

This is the best facility in MA. The caregivers are amazing, facility is clean and nice, and care is exemplary. They treat the residents with dignity and respect. The food is also fantastic. Could not have asked for a better place for my mother to spend her final days.

This past year has made it clear that we need to be grateful for the people and places in healthcare that are doing an exceptional job. Thank you Sippican staff for always putting your residents first, and for being an incredible team, working together towards optimal outcomes for your short rehab patients! Great place overall!

I find Sippican lacks services that keep the mobile mobile. For instances, exercises like stand up and sit down and stair climbing. Most of the patients sleep on the second floor. Also, activities that keep the mind sharp, for non game players and colorers. Like counting and sorting money or socks… Not everyone makes it to the activities room, events should be in the day room on the 2nd floor.
They over exaggerate behaviors. I know for sure my little frail mom can’t flip a chair. My mom has physically and mentally declined since being in a nursing home. She needs more stimulation and socialization, not medication to keep her sleeping. “I’m bored and a prisoner who doesn’t have any privacy.” No one wants to work with the difficult dementia patients to help them retain what they have left, for as long as they can.

I spent two weeks in Sippican rehab unit. Treatment was excellent. Staff ( all) were very helpful and supportive. Always encouraging me to get better… even when I was walking the halls at 1 or 4 am!
