A quaint and rustic little coffee hut, bar, and eatery in Fresno, CA. The 559 was absolutely delicious, the fries are seasoned perfectly, and I got the Lavender Chocolate Coffee. Now it's an acquired taste but I loved it. Would recommend friends and family to come here.

The waitress was nice and attentive but I was not happy with my tri tip sandwich it was cold meat but the bun was toasted. It didn’t have enough meat in it to eat it all. I was left with half a sandwich with not meat. I didn’t like the taste of the sauce , peppers, or the cheese but something didn’t taste good to me. The fry’s were over cooked to me. It was dark in here the table we sat at was a folding table. The most positive thing was again the waitress was very nice and attentive.

As A Fan Of The Vintage Bar I Wholeheartedly Endorse The Speakeasy Version. It Is Cozier And Classy And The Staff Are Very Nice.

Work across the street and couldn’t make Starbucks so decided to try this place I ordered a coffee cinnamon latte and a sandwich…
Waited a good 27mins for a coffee and sandwich that was sitting on the end of a empty bar after asking the guy was that my order he says it just came from the back…upset and still hungry waited to get allllllll the way back to wrk to realize the meat was brown….

I went to Shep's Club for a vanilla iced latte with oatmilk and to catch up with a friend. There was no wait around 10 a.m, service was quick and friendly. The latte was good, could have been a bit stronger in coffee taste, but I think I just drink too much coffee and probably need to stop adding flavored syrup in my drinks. The coffee was smooth, the vanilla was blended great, the medium was a decent sized coffee, probably 12 to 16 oz. It's outdoor, we sat in their shaded patio, it's pretty and nice on a warm morning.

Good food, I had a tri-tip sandwich and 2 servings of potato salad (one serving wasn't enough). They have outdoor seating with a stage. Live music at night is available sometimes. They also have a coffee shop in the back connected to the outdoor seating. This place does not deliver. Order ahead and pickup is allowed.
Apr 5 2022 had potato salad, jalapeno poppers, clam chowder, it was good.

I go to Shep's when I'm waiting for an Amtrak train or when getting off the train and have a few hours to kill. The Fresno Amtrak Station is located across the street.

2025 this place is still here! Love the staff here, they are friendly and wholesome people. Service is NEVER BAD AT ALL. Good coffee, teas, lattes, smoothies, frappe and even soda if wanted. My go-to here is a Hot* Large* green tea with blackberry purée (syrup) and a croissant egg sandwich or a pastry. Irish breve frappe is good one as well. Definitely try this place, it’s better inside, that’s where the vibes are💯😎

Wife and I Ordered $30+ ribeye. It came with a side. We ordered potato salad. We ordered our meat medium rare. As you can see we got well done. Meat wasn't seasoned and was waaayyy overcooked. Service in the bar was spotty. For a $30+ plate you would think soup or salad would be included, but no. At that cost you would also think to add a veggie? Also they ran out of mushrooms.
Now with this said we where told the kitchen was cooking for a large party on the patio. To me this was an excuse. All the professional kitchens I've been in know how to manage orders. I was once told by a chef that every plate that goes out of the kitchen is an audition for future business. With our experience we would never consider coming back for dinner let alone having a large party.
My suggestion is making your plates with what appears to be value adds like soup salad and a veggie along with the side and entrees. Very disappointed. We will try again in the future and pray for better food, service and a better value.
BTW the potatoe salad was amazing.
Our dinner was compt and rightfully so.
I would love to hear a reply from ownership.
