Last weekend , I had the pleasure of dining at Smith Flat House, where we paired our dinner with a bottle of Tannat from Shadow Ranch. The wine was absolutely delightful—rich, bold, and perfectly complementing the meal. So impressed were we that we decided to visit the winery the very next day for a tasting experience.

Our timing couldn't have been better, as we were greeted with beautiful weather, making the day even more enjoyable. The outdoor setting was perfect for sipping wines while indulging in some delightful grilled cheeses. Shadow Ranch offers the perfect combination of rustic elegance with outstanding & award winning wines... many grown on the estate! I am thrilled that they'll be offering a gourmet grilled cheese platter in 2023. The staff here offers outstanding service, you will feel like you are a part of the family each time you visit. A gem within El Dorado and Amador County to say the least!

Great ambiance nice tasting room vineyards walnut trees. The wines are good. The only issue is customer service. I bought futures in the summer of 2018 I was never informed they were ready. I have called and left messages three times no one has ever returned my calls. I have also emailed and never received an answer. I have since resigned from the wine club and moved on.
