First off, I wanted to thank Michael, Matthew, and his family once again for allowing us to use their property for my little sister’s quinceañera photo shoot. A few weeks prior to her event we stopped by to check the place out & we fell in love with the scenery. There are a ton of beautiful, healthy olive trees along with a tasting room where we got to try the different selections they offer which were all amazing. You can definitely taste the high quality with each one of them. Matthew gave the girls a tour of the ranch and made sure to make it extremely enjoyable, memorable, & informative. They absolutely loved it and wouldn’t stop talking about it on their way out. He is super funny and super enthusiastic about what he does and is just an incredible host all around. These photos are just a few that I snagged with my phone since the photographer we hired won’t have the ones he took ready till about a few weeks out. BUT I really wanted to get the word out there about this amazing olive farm. I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area and check it out for yourself; you will not regret it one bit.

My wife and I had a great time at Santa Maria Olive Co! We enjoyed each of their selections so much that we walked away with a bottle of each! The tour through the beautiful olive grove and bottling/labeling room was awesome. It's rare that you get to see for yourself where your food comes from, and to be able to rest assured that it is the real thing. Very much looking forward to my next visit, and some of the new flavors they will be releasing in the future.

Beautiful olive trees, great views, and an amazing family that know their stuff when it comes to olive farming. The tasting room and tour experience is a one of a kind in the central coast, and the olive oil is amazing! The best local artisanal olive oil!

Michael and his son Matt were incredible hosts when we visited their olive ranch and did some exquisite olive tasting! The enthusiasm they showed for their love of their olive ranch was so affectionately displayed in the taste of their delicious olive oils. From the first contact I had with the Santa Maria Olive Company, I was thoroughly impressed with their obvious dedication to quality and professionalism. They are a small, family-run business with a passion for olives and nurturing their trees with the utmost care. Having lived in Italy for four years, I developed quite a love of olive oil, and was very pleasantly surprised to find that the Santa Maria Olive Company's oil can compete with the best in Italy. It has a rich, earthy depth that would compliment any dish, and is the absolute go-to oil for dipping bread in. The oil is exquisite, a result of their attention to every detail of the production process and their meticulous inspection of every olive.
My first experience with their business was a phone call I placed to ask if they could give me any information about someone who could help mill the olives from my trees. Matthew, the son of the owner, answered on his personal cell number and immediately engaged in conversation about the care of the trees, answering every question I had and giving incredibly helpful advice. He invited me to come take a tour of their farm and even asked me to bring some branches of my trees so he could help identify the kind of olive tree I had as well as determine if my trees may have any disease or other problem.
When we arrived at the farm, the father and two sons treated my family as their family. From their invitation to come and try all their delicious varieties of olive oils, to their video presentation about their company, to the fun tour riding around the farm in their Jurassic Park zoo train, we felt incredibly welcomed and valued.
I highly recommend the Santa Maria Olive Company! The only problem I can see is that once you taste their oil, you'll never want to go back to the grocery store oil you have in your pantry! 🙂

A truly enjoyable experience!

What an unexpected and fun afternoon! The tasting room is charming, and the staff is both friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. I learned so much about olive oil during my visit. They offered a wide range of varieties, all of which were delicious - I honestly liked every single one! Since then, this is the only olive oil I use, and I’ve returned several times. The quality is exceptional, and I love that it’s locally sourced. I highly recommend the Santa Maria Olive Co for anyone looking to elevate their kitchen with top-notch, artisanal olive oil.

If you are in the Santa Maria area please visit this place!!! We had the best time today we got to taste test boujee olive oil and the owner and his sons are very charismatic and energetic (not to mention hilarious!) you will be informed and entertained!!! would recommend for a afternoon tour!! We loved seeing a family passionate about their business!!

We stopped here randomly after visiting a nearby winery and were absolutely thrilled with the experience! Not only are the oils high quality and delicious but our host Matthew was one of the most delightful human beings we have ever met! We learned a ton, were impressed by the emphasis on giving back to the Veteran community and had a total blast on the Jurassic jeep tour!
