This weekend fourth of July my sister bought meat from here. To be honest with you i was very skeptical because we hadn’t purchased meat form this store in years. When my sisters told me that the new owner got the old meat venders back i was shocked cause it has been many many years. The meat was so tender , so flavorful it wasn’t tough at all i wish she would’ve gotten more i was so suprised. This will definitely be the new spot we come back to. I know they are under new owners and they’re doing something right for sure.

I went on 4th of July to grab some last minute alcohol and snacks. The new owner asked me
When the last time I purchased meat from
Santa Fe. I said to be honest it’s been a while. He said “how about you give us one more try. We got our old original meat vendors back, and I’m sure you will be satisfied.” With that said I was like “okay.” It’s been over 15 years I’ve purchased any meat from here. The carne asada preparada was so soft and tender. It wasn’t chewy at all. Everyone at the BBQ was asking me where I got the meat from. Honestly this is the beginning of one of many meat purchases here. He delivered! It was so tasty and tender. Thank you!!!’

I only chose the five stars so that my review shows and people can read it. Ever since it changed to the new foreign owners the prices are SUPER HIGH. They do not post prices for their beverages, and when you pay they just charge you what they want, you ask for a receipt and there is no real description of the items and prices just a total under miscellaneous. I will make sure never to set foot again in this store and will make every effort to let as many people know you came here to rob the community. What a shame!!
$15.42 for two 16 oz cans of Coke, two 12oz cans of root beer an electrolite and two gatorades!!! REALLY!!!!!

After looking all around Chula Vista and national city for Natural Hog Casings this is the only store that had it and willing to sale small amount of casing that they use to make there in-house Chorizo., I’m very trilled and thankfully with Osacar in meet department. Very nice experience!!

This little store is awesome! I've been going to this store for over 20 years. It's grown and changed owners over the years but the new owner, Mark is a really nice guy and very customer service oriented. They have a great selection of meats and more importantly cold beer. And their chicharones are awesome!

Fantastic Authentic Mexican Food!
I've never purchased any meats to take home and try. But everything I have ordered has been amazing. Freshly made right in front of you and portions that will leave your wallet and belly happy!

I was pleasantly surprised to come across this locally owned shop while searching for a butcher near me. I walked in & was greeted right away by the lovely woman behind the counter, then also by the gentlemen behind the butcher counter. They helped me pick out two great cuts of steak along with some bacon. I was also able to grab some fresh produce that would tie the meal together & I was really happy I could do it all in one place. Their use of Apple Pay made things very convenient. I will definitely be back & I’m looking forward to trying some of the amazing smelling food they were cooking in the restaurant portion of the shop next time.

The BEST! I had the pleasure of visiting this family ran meat market for the first time. Mark, the owner, personalized a family package that was perfect for our needs it included the best cuts like porterhouse, tbone, new York and also ground beef to make the perfect BBQ smorgasbord.. he cut my steaks on the spot to meet our exact needs and made the ground beef fresh while we waited. He gave our family a great price that rivaled the best deals in the county. The next day we bbq a huge feast for our moms 80th bday and needless to say everyone loved the meat and commented on the quality. I made more than I usually would have and it was all gone!! I still have meat in my freezer for the next round..Mark it was a pleasure doing business with you and your family and this will definitely be the only butcher I ever go to for all our meat from here on.
