Amazing place. I visited multiple times in the past but now order online. While website is a bit difficult to navigate, Alice always provided me with an exceptional customer service. Most of the plants I recieved were established, bloom size, beautiful and healthy. Even seedlings are big.Since most are grown outdoors, there may be imperfections but these are strong orchids. I also virus tested a few at random and they were all virus free. Alice provided me with plant photos each time and shipping was fast, everything was wrapped with care, box was even labeled with where spikes were. Without a doubt, Santa Barbara Orchid Estate is very high on my list when I shop for new orchids to add to my collection.

The people who work here are incredibly informative on orchids. They are very kind and helpful. If you’re willing to slow down and take the time to learn from them, you will have a great time. These orchids need great care, you’ll be happy to have the knowledge they teach you. Not sure why other reviews said these guys weren’t helpful…Alice and her father were so patient with Sean and I. We just kind of hung around for 30 minutes after our purchases. Chatting about plants. It was a lovely afternoon. When we got home we immediately transferred these lovelies into their new homes.Thank you Santa Barbara Orchid Estate, we’ll be back!!!

A must visit place for orchid lovers. Weather you just want to enjoy the beauties or take some home with you this is the perfect destination.
The people are awesome and you needn’t worry if you know nothing about taking care of orchids. They will educate you, help you choose the right one for you taking into consideration your home environment, climate and your gardening skills.
They have open house on sundays so go enjoy

Warning: Could Cause Severe Orchid Addiction. I like orchids..... maybe not passionate about them.....but if I lived near Santa Barbara Orchid Estate, it might become an addiction. Prices are quite reasonable for some beautiful specimens, starting around $25 and going way up for rare, one-of-a-kind plants. It's worth a shopping trip..... we picked up 3 for the road trip home.

Amazing experience, we did go here because my GF loves orchids, in a big way, the staff let us peruse at our leisure for hours, at the end of the day we had a whole selection to "check out" by the front desk.
This is a place for people who are into the flowers. the staff are growers, and not hipsters, so definitely more on the eclectic side of the places we have been to.. but in a very good way. Highly Recommended.

Nice little orchid growing facility. They have a good variety of orchids for sale as well as orchid growing products. The staff is friendly and helpful. This is a nice stop for visitors who would like to view the many colorful orchids. Plenty of onsite parking.

I've gotten many plants and quite a lot of good advice on orchid growing here over the past few years. They take wonderful care of their plants and have so many you could almost never see them all. If you need advice on care for an orchid talk to Wayne, he is extremely helpful! Here is a pic of an orchid I bought from them just last month!

We had a great time at the nursery. We got a lot of new information from our host whose name I do not remember. She was very polite and answered all our questions. Would definitely love to visit again!
