Online wait-list system cut down on our wait time but we didn't get a text saying our table was ready so this caused some confusion. Other than the the ambience of the place was great and so were the service, food, and drinks. The portions were generous.

This establishment was a blessing for us when we visited Mackinaw City from Illinois.
Coming back from Mackinac Island late in the evening leaves you without a lot of food options. Rusted Spoke was the only restaurant open until 10 PM in the city. Starving and tired, we made our way into Rusted Spoke around 9:15 PM. We were sat immediately at the bar. We received a warm welcome from our male server/bartender, who I feel was also the owner. He proceeded to go over the whole menu and recommend options. We decided on the burger and hot honey chicken sandwich (I highly recommend). While eating, our server checked on us numerous times to make sure everything was good and that we shouldn’t worry about the place closing at 10 PM (this was a relief as we were rushing). Our server made us feel welcomed, comfortable, and special when dining there. This service experience made us come back the next night for another meal!
The food was top notch. As mentioned above, try the burger and chicken sandwich. The food was also very filling and helped after a long day of walking on the island.
The atmosphere was fantastic. The theme, lighting, music, furniture, and other deco really gave it a cozy/enjoyable feel. The restaurant also had many other patrons who were enjoying drinks and other food items. You could tell that the Rusted Spoke was a hangout for the locals.
The service was exceptional. As I mentioned above, the owner/bartender made us feel special and showed great hospitality. The other staff were great too and really helped make it a great experience.
To conclude, this place exceeded expectations in all categories and my perception was not biased from hunger/exhaustion…. Please visit this establishment when visiting Mackinac island or Mackinaw City, you will not regret it.

Had a great experience here. The prime rib special was the best. They have a great beer selection. The prime rib special and rib eye is better than mine, which is not usually the case. They cook a mean steak. We had the Whitefish spread on the side, which is really good with the pretzel. Get the pretzel! The pretzel is amazing! The BLT and just by itself. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I'm really looking forward to the next visit.

We stopped in for dinner after getting off the ferry. They have a nice selection of beer. The service was great. Our food was okay. The brisket/pulled pork tacos just didn’t hit the spot. I think the coleslaw gave them a weird flavor. The hot honey chicken sandwich was okay.

Oh My Goodness! If you are in Mackinaw City and you dont eat here you are missing the best food in town. Beer was good but the food was amazing. By far top 5 restaurants I have ever dined at. So so good. I could not recommend enough. We have other restaurants in town that we want to try before we head home, but we have seriously talked about just going back to Rusted Spoke again instead.

Excellent food. The hot honey chicken sandwich was exceptionally good. The burger was a pretty average, good BBQ on top though.

I had lunch at Rusted Spoke while passing through the area on the way south. It was quite pleasant inside, and the staff was friendly. I had chili and a Caesar salad, and both were decent. The IPA I tried was quite good. Rusted Spoke made for a good break from driving, and I’d like to try their other beers someday.

Does not get much better than great beer and good food. Throw in relaxing vibes and cool atmosphere. With a diverse menu they can pull off and nightly specials that can be hard to beat. Price to quantity ratio is dead on. Very impressed with the BBQ combo plate.
