I recently purchased 2 60" gas ranges for a non profit agency. Both ranges exhibited an external overheating problem. They sent 2 techs from 2 different companies to inspect and confirm the issue. Both checked and confirmed the installation was correct. We also provided video evidence. This company has ignored our complaints even after both techs found no installation issues. They have now started making up a variety of reasons why they are overheating and each time we have proven them wrong. The tech solution is to build an external guard at our own cost. Deceitful. avoid at all costs.

I have had it with this company. They refused a warranty service claim because they said it was our fault . The wire connected to the fryer pilot fell out because it was never installed correctly and tight. How this was user error I have no idea. We have 5 fryers from them and this is the one that has repeatedly gave us this problem. Now we now and just push the wire back on and we have tightened the butt connector. Service company never fixed the issue correctly. I am now getting calls from service company looking for money . I called Royal and they said they would take care of it but HAVE NOT. Philip you need to handle these issues . Clearly I’m not the only one!!!

Golden Fries

After purchasing 17 x RFT-50 fryers (yes, seventeen deep fryers) I have had problems with one unit after only a couple of months. Royal Ranges and Distex (Canadian distributor) refuse to repair it.

The burners produce yellow flames and soot. The other 4 fryers in the row are fine and all under the same environmental conditions. All fryers are receiving the same gas pressure. This fryer is useless after only a few months...

I guess we will be purchasing Quest or Garland in the future - they stand behind their products.
