I would highly recommend Richmond Meat Packers for their deer processing. The check in process was very quick and professional, after weighing in my deer and documenting my license number/ harvest report the man pointed me up front to the butcher. How I wanted my deer processed was totally customizable which I like. Also I was happy to see the process taking place in the butcher area. Each deer gets its own crate and rack assigned, ensuring that you are getting your deer and your deer only back. Very clean!

We've been doing business with Richmond Meat Packers for years and years and have had nothing but great experiences. Whether we were making large purchases like catered Pig roasts, or just putting together a meat order for a family party the Evans family has always treated us great. This is exactly the type of small town business we love to support, and that has earned that support.

We get our Christmas Eve prime rib roast from here each year. The quality is always phenomenal, the service is always friendly. The first year I forgot to grab cooking directions for my roast and called when I got home (on their busiest pick up day of the year). The owner took the time on the phone to give me all the directions and even joked around and gave silly steps in the recipe, too.

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I have gone here for many years to have my deer processed and I can tell you, these criminals rip you off! They have stolen more meat from me and probably everyone that goes through them for many years. A few times they had the same excuse for not giving me the inner loins of my deer (dropped them). My friend brought two deer in and only got one set of back straps. I only get hamburger done (outside of the inner loins and back straps) and I get half the meat I should have.

I have dropped me deer off at Weiss this year and the year before and it is a night and day difference, they also don't threaten to steal your deer if you fail to show up in 24 hours, nor demand "cash only" we all know why they do that.

You guys are crooks and I hope no one else brings their deer to you, do not let these people steal from you, go somewhere else!

Response to owner: You're seriously going to lie? Last year was the first time I didn't bring a deer to you guys and you 100% demand cash only, you stamp the papers like fifty times. There is no reason to lie about that.
