Today I picked the most delicious vegetables and fruits I can remember at the beautiful and peaceful Potrero Nuevo Farm. I went to training about how and where to pick a variety of foods in lovely, well-cared for beds. It's clear what to do and it's a joy to be with the happy people guiding us and picking fresh items. I feel refreshed and inspired by this experience, and grateful for the care of the farming families who make it possible. Thank you all! It would be worth coming out to Half Moon Bay for one sweet bite of a ripe plum, for one ripe strawberry popped in my mouth, or for one green bean eaten in the field, but I got all these and more, not least of which is a gorgeous bouquet of sunflowers and snapdragons. I will see you again soon!
