The absolutely best cornmeal! My grandmother (born 1916) didn't want to use any other brands. She said this is exactly like what she grew up with. I must say, I haven't found anything better! Like granny, my favorite is the extra fine cornmeal. Just wait until you try it! Cornmeal, a little salt, add water and stir until thick enough to make a thin "patty" about 3 inches and fry in 1/8 or so oil. Batter should be rather thin, barely able to handle. Holy cow! I could live on it!

This is the best cornmeal in the world. I live in Los Angeles, Ca and was given a bag of this corn meal as a gift. At first I thought that it was a strange gift to receive, but now I am hooked. It is fine white corn meal much like the meal corn tortillas are made from but a superior quality. Just add water and a little vegetable oil, salt, and put in a cast iron skillet at a high temperature for 1 hour. The Best.
