Visited Sunday 9/29. Enoyed walking the grounds and checking out the visitor center displays. However, we were disappointed that the park ranger didn't greet or interact with any vesitors. She just sat at her desk and stared at her computer screen. Perhaps her salary could be better used to employ a couple of parttime local residents who had an interest in engaging with the park's visitors.

This is a great museum that captured a significant piece of US and Arkansas history. It is small so you don't feel like you have to move fast. Some unique nuggets of history. Great AC in the main building, nothing thereafter. Definitely a great visit especially late morning so you can stop for lunch down the road.

Smaller than I thought. Interesting historic displays and tableau. You could see everything in 30 minutes or less. Staff wasn't very helpful or friendly. There was no "merch" for this location but they had some other items for sale.

What a great place! I've lived in Arkansas my entire life and I never knew this place existed. It gives you the true experience of what it was like for cotton farming and everything that goes along with it. And I think it does it cleanly and honestly

This is a great historical state park. The name is a bit deceptive. It really doesn't haven't anything to do with a plantation beyond farming (yes, I know the meaning of plantation, but this is also in an area of the south with a very specific understanding of the word plantation.) This museum focuses more on farming technology in the history of the area. The inside museum does have exhibits focusing on share croppers and even an area dedicated to WWII Japanese American internment camps (because that was a thing in the Arkansas delta near McGehee.) The other buildings offer an up close view to a cotton gin and a seed warehouse as well as a variety of antique and vintage tractors and farming equipment. It is interesting and educational and very well run and maintained. There are a few interactive exhibits, which my kids especially enjoyed.
