Perennial is by far the most comfortable and cozy restaurant I have ever been to. Their decoration choices absolutely benefit their guests and the atmosphere. The choices they made for the establishment from the wallpapers, all the way down to the silverware, are nothing less than outstanding.

The service provided was absolutely amazing. Everyone was so friendly and made myself and my fiance feel right at home as though we were family coming by for a visit. They were very descriptive of every dish and what meals paired well with certain drinks.

And last, but not least. The food. Food does not begin to describe how wonderful the experience was. The first thing each guest should know when coming here is that a large amount of all ingredients and beverages are all sourced from right here in alabama. The menu is formatted in such a great way as to explain which distributer provides ingredients that go into each meal. It is amazing how deep the relationship between a restaurant and its partners goes.

My fiance had the satsuma honey chicken, and I had some of the seasons very last heirloom pumpkin soup. The meal brought back so many memories, and made me feel like a kid again. I was excited for each and every bite! And I think at the end of the meal my fiance put it best: don't cry now that it's over, be happy it happened in the first place.

Addendum!: I have been back to Perennial multiple times since I first made this review, and I have to tell you, it keeps getting better!
They have a mostly winter time menu currently running and I had the cornmeal biscuits with honey butter and pumpkin jam, as well as the tuscan soup, with an order of sweet potato gnocchi.

The meal was absolutely fantastic once again, and the gnocchi was a standout favorite. Perfect temp, outstanding flavor and the plating is absolutely gorgeous. Please don't pass up an opportunity to eat here. You will never leave disappointed!

Secondary addendum: just went back again last night, and they keep getting better and better! I swear I don't know how they do it! I will say the restaurant was packed, but they kept everything coming out as fast as possible, and with as much quality as always! It's absolutely fantastic to see the restaurant doing so well!

We enjoyed the charming aesthetic of the restaraunt, it's very cozy and the atmosphere is lovely. The food is incredible. My husband and I definitely cleaned our plates. I can't wait to see more from Perennial!!

Phenomenal! Sweet, quirky, all locally sourced.

The owner really poured her heart into this place. From reclaimed materials used in the renovation of this gem to all Alabama produce and unique, ever changing menu, take some friends, spend a few hours and order tapas style to be sure to try everything!

This is a no waste restaurant, the portions are designed to not have left overs, so if you are over ordering, be sure to bring your own container.

This place is such a treat and a breath of fresh air. A true labor of love! Everything is so thoughtfully and intentionally put together. The tables and chairs are all antique, as well as the china. The rooms are very inviting, but eclectic in taste which gives a very comfy feel. The food was fantastic. My husband and I had four small plates and shared two entrees. Every dish was incredible. Every element was perfect for the dish, and I just honestly can't say enough good things. So grateful to have such a cool place in Montgomery! I love that the food is exclusively from local growers and farmers, too. An amazing concept and expertly executed. Will definitely be back!

I don’t think they’ve had their official grand opening yet, but I got a peak at their limited “soft opening” menu which I expect will expand in the future. I hope to see more vegetarian and vegan options, personally. I enjoyed the Watermelon Gazpacho, a delicious light soup perfect for a hot summer day, and so unique! I also had a few bites of the Succotash and it was also delicious and wholesome. Sourcing fresh local veggies real does make a difference in the taste and texture of these dishes. Definitely try their house-made fermented sodas or a root beer float because they are so delicious and refreshing. I loved the lemon balm, but the ginger ale had an off-putting fermented taste that I couldn’t finish so YMMV. The restaurant is beautiful inside and out with lovely plants, antique furniture and decor, an incredible atmosphere, great music and a warm, inviting and knowledgeable staff. You should definitely check them out!

Truly a world-class dining experience. The old home in which the restaurant is located couldn't be more charming, and everything from the food to the music to the atmosphere to the excellent service and conversation courtesy of owner Deanne just bowled us over.

The shrimp and grits were amongst the best I've ever had, and although the missus and I were both bummed about the fact that the Tucker Pecan Crusted Red Snapper wasn't available that evening (it was, to be frank, the menu listing that drew us in), it just gives us more reason to return to this delightful place again in the very near future.

Fabulous restaurant in a beautiful space with a rotating menu that showcased food cooked to perfection. The traditional dishes and cocktails have a wonderful twist to focus on products from local farms and businesses. The wine and beer is unique and the best in town. Montgomery is fortunate have this restaurant which could be one of the top places in any city in America.

The atmosphere alone is worth the trip. The whole place is really well done and cool. The staff is nice and attentive, which is increasingly hard to find. The owner was the one helping us, and I think that is the usual. My favorite thing on the menu were the "sweet potato skins", which were more like a small crisp patty with good toppings on it.
