We drive 4 hours round trip to Pease every 9 months for the purchase of a whole cow. Best money spent to feed our family. They recently improved their packaging and while sometimes customer service is indifferent, in their specialty, they are superior where it counts. Best Angus Beef Hybrid!!

A 1200 pound cow should produce more then 303 pounds of meat.

I recommend that you look for a new processor like I am. I started going to Pease Packing along time ago and the last 3 years have been brutal with this last visit being the final straw.

I took 2 cattle in one for me and one for a friend. After 2 weeks my friend called to see what hanging weight was so he could make a guesstimate on his investment total. He was told 340lbs I was called by him immediately, We thought maybe it was just a half or confusion and they gave him the hogs weight that we dropped off at the same time. When I called I was told his cow was 710lbs which seemed right considering the size of the cow. He requested that everything was to be ground for burger. When he received it he only got 303 total 1lb bags and the invoice showed a different hanging weight of 560lbs.

Obviously this left him confused and when he called to see if there was a mistake or some boxes that weren't found as they had trouble locating our items during pickup.

The man from Pease Packing abruptly spouted that the sheets correct and to take it up with the farmer. Whatever the heck that means He was unwilling to listen to the previous weights and offer any insight or acknowledge the problem.

My cow was much smaller and I had received almost the same amount of burger along with my steak cuts. Granted I never called or checked my weight during the process. But 3 different hanging weights for the same animal is just bananas! It was confusing and frustrating which has put me in a weird spot with my friend that purchased the cow from me. Granted I will do whatever I can to rectify this but a 1200 pound animal should produce more then 303 1lb packs of burger......

Looking back I remember there being boxes on their carts with peoples names on them crossed off and others written on them. Were these once lost and later found? Some was inside some in a trailer outside poor organization to say the least. I truly hope this isn't how they keep their retail freezers up front full as it was suggested to me and my friend while venting our frustrations to a few individuals.

Sadly its just not the same place it used to be.

This is my 1st time using this company. I purchased 1/2 hog from my friend. Mass confusion is what I would call it. I called a couple times to get a status and I got, “who are you?”. I finally was told by my friend the the hog was done. I called, no answer, left a message. The following day, I called again, no answer, left another message. Finally they call and I pick up the hog.
I had some ham tonight, it’s lightly smoked, tastes like crap. I’m pissed. I paid a lot of money and it’s not what I expected.

Took 3 hogs in to be processed. 1 for me and two for friends. They messed up two of the orders. One person got 7 hocks ( pigs only have 4 legs lol) and the other person didn't get any hams despite having it on the cut sheet that was stapled to the invoice.

I read some of these reviews and it’s like not even close to the service I was provided, I wonder if we are even reviewing the same company. My dealings with Pease were very professional, the meat tasted wonderful and was well packaged, time from order to pickup was great. We have gone through the 1/2 cow that we purchased and the ONLY thing that keeps me from going back is that we moved to Bowling Green KY. I am a bit jealous of those of you that can still buy from these folks.

This place is the WORST! All of our packages of bacon were just shredded pieces and mostly fat. The other thing was I needed to season the bacon. There was no salt on it. Even though I asked for cured. Every time I open a pack of bacon I am just irritated. So I thought I would leave a review. And when we ordered our meat the lady taking our order was rude as hell!

This place is a joke. Got my cut list for a whole hog totally wrong. Charged me $272 and change for 147 hanging weight!!! The older woman taking the cut sheet info over the phone kept telling me I'd only get 4-5 pounds of ground back PER half a hog. And kept saying I'd only get 1 ham cut in half despite also saying this is for a whole hog. It didn't sound right at all, and I said that seems really low, but I've never bought a whole pig before so I wasn't going to argue. This led to me making choices I wouldn't have made, thinking I'd only get 4-5 lbs of andouille sausage, when in reality I got almost 20 packs of andouille. They also packaged my chops 2 per package when I requested 4. Such a waste of packaging and cost me a ridiculous amount on processing a small hog. Also, it took almost a month to get our meat back! Over 3 weeks!!! I will never, ever purchase anything being processed here!

Have been having our grass fed and grass finished beef as well as pasture poultry processed and packaged here for years now. I can't say enough good about this business. Darla, Bob and their team go above and beyond. We are very regular customers and drive over an hour to work with Pease. We are so thankful for their hard work, honesty and integrity. They truly care about their customers. Thank you!
